What are you going to do?

In the role of Project Coordinator, you are responsible for the execution of their various projects in Rotterdam and, if necessary, partly in Delft. The focus of this vacancy is Rotterdam. As Project Coordinator, you are committed to equal opportunities and combating polarization in Rotterdam and, if necessary, in Delft. You have a coordinating role in which you connect students, schools, and partners within the various Move projects. In your coordinating role, you guide student volunteers who realize the implementation of their projects. On the other hand, you take the initiative to establish more strategic collaborations with other organizations within the social domain. Together with the rest of the team, you are the face of both Rotterdam and Delft. You proactively work on your network in the region. Finally, you share responsibility for securing funding for Move’s activities in Rotterdam and, if necessary, in Delft.

They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about Move’s goals and ambitions and is motivated to promote them within the network. You are able to bring others along in your story, and you say what you do and do what you say. You are independent and dare to bring your own ideas and take initiative with a healthy dose of guts. You view collaboration as a prerequisite for success. You are also good at maintaining an overview and are capable of juggling multiple tasks at once.

What are you bringing?

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience and/or background in the social work field and/or education, and proven ability to work independently;
  • You preferably reside in Rotterdam (region) and have an active, relevant network in the education or social field in the South Holland region;
  • You have knowledge of or experience with social and community projects and/or primary education;
  • You are enterprising and maintain relationships easily;
  • You are strong in organizational and communication skills and know how to maintain an overview;
  • You work independently towards your goals and know how to organize your work well;
  • You have an affinity with students, pupils, and teachers.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.

Who are they?

Move is committed to children and young people aged 10 to 16 who have fewer opportunities than their peers. In their continuous learning pathway of social projects, they discover their talents and the valuable position they can occupy in society. Meeting others is central to all their projects: children, young people, and students discover different ways of life together and broaden their perspectives. They start with a fixed-term contract, but they are happy to embark on this adventure with you for the long term. The gross starting salary, based on a 36-hour work week, ranges between €3,251 and €3,376 per month, depending on your work experience. Additionally, you will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8%. For the performance of your duties, you will be provided with a phone, laptop, and an NS Business Card for travel by train and other public transport. You will also receive a monthly net contribution of € 25 for home internet usage and health insurance. Finally, you will build up a good pension with us.
