The Hague Humanity Hub is looking for a full time Meetings and Events Management Intern from late August 2026 - February 2027.

By joining the Meeting & Events team at The Hague Humanity Hub you will help make inspiring meetings and events a reality, meet interesting organisations active in the peace & justice ecosystem, and create unique experiences for our guests!
What you will do
Day-to-day activities:
- Handle meeting & event bookings from requests to execution
- Assist with creating comprehensive proposals for room bookings and digital event services (incl. showing the space, thinking through logistics together with the clients and/ or partners)
- Provide outstanding service to our guests before, during, and after their booking
- Help to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and partnerships
- Assist Hub’s programming team with planning and hosting Hub’s events (from the Meeting & Events perspective)
- Collaborate with the rest of the Hub team to provide more value to members and customers
Throughout your internship:
- Help develop plans to boost sales, e.g. research competition or new (online) channels
- Research and identify market trends to further improve event services
- Help improve and professionalize the booking processes of meetings and events, e.g. process optimisation, developing templates
What you bring
- Demonstrated interest in event planning and affinity with sales
- Hospitality mindset
- Fluent in English and ideally working knowledge of Dutch
- Excellent communication skills, in writing and verbally
- A curious, friendly personality with the ability to stay calm, responsive and solution oriented
- You are punctual, well-organized, proactive and can multi-task
- You enjoy talking to and assisting guests to plan and execute their ideal meetings and events
- A flexible, can-do attitude, ready to jump between tasks and help where needed
- You are tech savvy and aren’t afraid to learn how to use new systems
- You are able to work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
- You welcome feedback and use it to improve and learn
Requirements
- You are studying or have studied a degree in a relevant field (for example, but not limited to: hospitality studies, event management, business management or similar)
- You are legally allowed to do an internship in the Netherlands;
- You are living in, or near, The Hague;
- You must be able to work 5 days per week (can also be 32, 36 or 40 hours across 5 days);
- You must be available for the entire duration of the internship;

- An internship allowance of €500 per month, based on 40 hours a week
- Paid holiday allowance (10 days based on 40 hours per week);
