The Hague Humanity Hub is opening applications for new members of its Programming Advisory Board.
As the peace and justice ecosystem faces growing pressure, collaboration across sectors, disciplines, and communities is more important than ever. The Humanity Hub exists to strengthen this ecosystem: by helping people connect, share knowledge, build partnerships, and develop collective responses to shared challenges.
The Programming Advisory Board plays an important role in this work. It brings together experienced professionals from across The Hague’s peace and justice community to advise the Hub team on programming, community development, emerging themes, and opportunities for collaboration.
With a new PAB cycle starting after the summer, we are looking for new members who can contribute their perspectives, networks, and expertise to help guide the Hub’s next phase.
Who we are looking for
We welcome applications from people connected to The Hague’s peace and justice ecosystem who want to contribute to the Hub’s role as a platform for connection and collaboration.
The Board benefits from a mix of perspectives, backgrounds, and areas of expertise. This could include, for example, experience in rule of law, human rights, climate action, youth engagement, entrepreneurship, technology for good, private sector or philanthropy.
The final composition will aim to ensure a strong balance of sectoral knowledge, local roots, strategic insight, programmatic experience, relevant networks, and diverse perspectives.
What PAB members do
PAB members advise the Humanity Hub team on how our programming can remain responsive and valuable to the wider ecosystem. This includes helping identify important themes, strengthening programme ideas, sharing sector insights, connecting relevant people and organisations, and championing initiatives that can contribute to collective impact.
The PAB is an advisory body. It does not have governance or fiduciary responsibility for the Humanity Hub.
For a full overview of the role, responsibilities, and appointment process, please read the Programming Advisory Board Terms of Reference.
How to apply
Interested professionals are invited to complete the application form by 15 June 2026.
Shortlisted candidates should be available to join an informal networking borrel with current PAB members on 25 June, 17:00–18:00, at The Hague Humanity Hub.
The first meeting of the new PAB cycle will take place on 17 or 24 September 2026, from 15:00–17:00.
