Confederation Of Laboratories For Artificial Intelligence Research In Europe (CAIRNE)

The Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe (CLAIRE) is an organization created by the European AI community that seeks to strengthen European excellence in AI research and innovation, with a strong focus on human centred AI. CLAIRE aims to ensure that societies and citizens across all of Europe, and beyond, benefit from AI as a major driver of innovation, future growth and competitiveness, and to achieve world-wide brand recognition for “AI made in Europe”.

CAIRNE does not provide AI services or products but rather represents the interests of its members by promoting European AI through media channels and events, fostering cross-border collaborations, and participating in EU Horizon calls to facilitate community building.

CAIRNE is a network of the pan-European Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe. It’s over 500 member groups and organizations in the Research Network and Innovation Network, as well as over 260 Ph.D. students, postdocs, and master students in the self-organized, Rising Research Network are committed to working together towards realizing the vision of European excellence across all of AI, for all of Europe, with a human-centred focus.
