It is a quiet, persistent pattern that appears across sectors: municipalities navigating policy reform, NGOs coordinating multi-partner programmes, international organisations managing complex stakeholder interests, and organisations of all kinds trying to move from agreement to action.

This practitioner panel brings together senior professionals from governance, justice innovation, legal, and organisational development backgrounds to explore a deceptively simple question:

Why do organisations that know what needs to happen still struggle to make it happen?

Rather than offering abstract theories, each panelist will share their lived experience of navigating these challenges: what the governance dilemma looks like in practice, why it emerges, and what approaches have helped move conversations toward meaningful decisions.

This is not a lecture and there are no prepared speeches. The discussion is designed to surface honest practitioner perspectives and explore where different viewpoints converge, and where they diverge. Often, the most valuable insights emerge from the tension between experiences.
