Follow-Up Meet-Up: Collective Action For Sudan

Let’s come together to discuss and implement collective action pathways that can make a real difference for Sudan’s future.
Following our April gathering at The Hague Humanity Hub, we would like to invite you to a second meet-up to continue the conversation on collective action for Sudan.
The previous session brought together participants from humanitarian, policy, research, cultural, and diaspora spaces to reflect on current gaps in international engagement and identify practical areas for collaboration.
A number of shared priorities emerged, particularly around youth support, local capacity building, civilian protection, and the need for more coordinated engagement between actors in the Netherlands and grassroots initiatives in Sudan.
This follow-up session on 9 June will focus on moving from reflection toward implementation.
In particular, we aim to:
- further develop 1–2 concrete collective action pathways identified during the previous meeting,
- explore realistic pilot initiatives that can be supported from the Netherlands,
- strengthen connections between ongoing initiatives,
- and discuss how spaces such as Sudan Futures Platform, The Hague Humanity Hub, and others can continue supporting constructive collaboration around Sudan.
At the same time, we remain open to additional ideas, priorities, and emerging areas for collaboration that participants may wish to bring into the conversation.
This space is intended to complement — not duplicate — the important humanitarian and emergency response efforts already taking place. The discussion will focus particularly on medium-term actions and forms of collaboration that can strengthen longer-term resilience, civilian support, capacity building, and future preparedness around Sudan.
The conversation will remain informal, participatory, and non-partisan, while maintaining a practical focus on what can realistically be advanced together.
