- Why this Path? Betty’s journey began in Mexico, where local activism and community care deeply influenced her worldview. During university, a mentor introduced her to the power of collective intelligence and systems thinking, prompting her to contribute to social entrepreneurship programs.
- “There are so many things that I do not know,” she reflects—an insight that cultivated her collaborative, learning-driven approach. After completing her studies in the Netherlands, she contributed to innovation projects across Kenya, Nepal, and Rwanda, integrating human-centered methods with formal expertise. “Through time, I have learned you can be a bridge or a destination,” she adds, describing her belief in designing roles that connect people and ideas across contexts.
