As a Project Coordinator for Secondary Education (VO), you will be responsible for implementing our secondary education projects in both Utrecht and Amsterdam.

What are you going to do?

As a Project Coordinator for Secondary Education (VO), you will be responsible for implementing our secondary education projects in both Utrecht and Amsterdam. This vacancy focuses on Utrecht. As a Project Coordinator, you will work to promote equal opportunities and combat polarization in both Utrecht and Amsterdam. You will have a coordinating role, connecting students, schools, and partners in the various Move projects in secondary education. In this coordinating role, you will supervise student volunteers who implement our projects. You will also take the initiative to establish more strategic partnerships with other organizations within the social domain. Together with the rest of the team, you will be a force for good for both Utrecht and Amsterdam. You will proactively build your network in the region. Finally, you will be jointly responsible for securing funding for Move’s activities in both cities.

Move’s looking for someone with relevant work experience who is enthusiastic about Move’s goals and ambitions and motivated to share them within the network. You’re able to engage others and you say what you do and do what you say. You’re independent, confident in your own ideas, and proactive in your entrepreneurial endeavors. You see collaboration as a prerequisite for success. You also have a strong overview and are capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.

What are you bringing?

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience and/or background in the social field and/or education and proven ability to work independently.
  • You preferably live in Utrecht (region) and have an active, relevant network within education or the social field in the Utrecht region;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language;
  • You have knowledge of or experience with social, societal projects and/or (secondary) education;
  • You are enterprising, you easily maintain relationships and you like to take the lead – also in a team;
  • You have strong organizational and communication skills and are able to maintain an overview;
  • You work independently on your goals and know how to organize your work well;
  • You have an affinity with students, pupils and teachers.

Who is Stitching Move?

Move is committed to children and young people aged 10 to 16 who have fewer opportunities than their peers. Through our continuous learning program of social projects, they discover their talents and the valuable role they can play in society. All our projects revolve around encounters: children, young people, and students explore different worlds together and broaden their perspectives. The gross starting salary, based on a 36-hour workweek, ranges from €3,251 to €3,517 per month, depending on your experience. You’ll also receive an 8.3% year-end bonus and an 8% holiday allowance. In return for your work, you’ll receive an NS business card for train and other public transport. You’ll also receive a net monthly contribution of € 25 for home internet and healthcare costs. Finally, you’ll build up a good pension with us.
