The World Nuclear Association is looking for a Membership & Business Development Manager responsible for implementation of member recruitment and business development activities in line with operational plans to maximise the Association's funding and expand its membership base.
Membership & Business Development Manager – World Nuclear Association
Working within the Membership & Business Development department, the Membership & Business Development Manager role is responsible for implementation of member recruitment and business development activities in line with operational plans to maximise the Association’s funding and expand its membership base. In this role you will also contribute to enhancing member engagement and overall member satisfaction strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Generation of new member leads and development of relationships with prospective members, ensuring their needs and priorities are understood.
- Organisation of membership drives and outreach activities, stand-alone and embedded in Association initiatives, working in collaboration with internal colleagues as appropriate.
- Management of day-to-day enquiries regarding membership enrolment into the Association and updating the Association’s customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Working with the Communication & Marketing team, support with the delivery of relevant and engaging marketing content related to business development activities across web, social media & other mediums; assist in developing persuasive material to promote the benefits of membership and other revenue-raising activities
- Identify networking opportunities and highlighting these to relevant colleagues, and in some cases attending conferences & seminars in person
- Responsibility for the promotion and sale of packages relating to sponsorship and exhibiting at World Nuclear Association events.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Association’s role within the nuclear sector and stay informed about key industry trends and developments.
- Research opportunities to raise funding from nuclear philanthropy and capitalizing on the Net Zero Nuclear brand, supporting with outreach to prospective donors.
- Participation in member and non-member events, using the opportunity to proactively connect and engage with targeted companies, and to gain insight and understanding in order to inform and improve membership activities
- Contribute to new business development initiatives.
- Assist in the design and execution of member engagement and satisfaction strategies aimed at improving retention levels.
- Provide additional support to the Membership and Business Development department with other work as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum five years’ professional experience in a business development and/or member engagement role, ideally gained within the nuclear industry.
- Proven experience of achieving business development stretch targets and/or actively driving increased revenue.
- Proficient in Excel and CRM systems.
