Movies That Matter is looking for a Dutch-speaking Education Intern to help in organizing educational film screenings at the cinema and contribute ideas to the content of their educational activities.
Education Intern – Movies That Matter
In this role, you’ll assist in organizing educational film screenings at the cinema and contribute ideas to the content of Movies That Matter’s educational activities. These tasks can be divided into the following components:
- Film in the Cinema – screenings throughout the Netherlands (40%). You support the entire production of educational film screenings, such as:
- Answering requests from schools (maintaining contact with teachers);
- Processing requests (including approaching film houses and drawing up scripts);
- Being present at film screenings, such as conducting technical checks, briefing, receiving guests and schools, monitoring the audience, and evaluating.
- Film selection (40%)
- Support in selecting films to be used as educational films (for Film in the Cinema or Film in the Classroom);
- Watching movies & writing reviews;
- Researching interesting new films.
- Film in the Classroom – online database (20%)
- You support the management and updating of the online database by:
- Manage the content, such as adding or removing movies and updating the movie pages;
- To develop or update educational materials in collaboration with colleagues.
