Nadia Castillo-Sanchéz

  • Founder, Climate Legal Consulting

I joined the Humanity Hub’s PAB because I see a unique opportunity to contribute to the board’s work as an international environmental lawyer focused on climate change, sustainability, and justice. My experience includes serving as a legal advisor in international climate negotiations, working as a senior consultant on climate, security, and justice, and teaching international climate law and policy at a university level. Joining the PAB allows me to apply this expertise to support the Humanity Hub’s mission, particularly in its work around climate, peace, and justice.

I aim to use my expertise to strengthen the Hub’s programming and community engagement by:

  • Connecting the Hub’s initiatives to key topics in international climate negotiations, especially in the lead-up to COP 29;
  • Connecting the Hub’s initiatives to collective efforts on climate, peace, and justice within The Hague Community and the broader Hague Climate Agreement; and
  • Contributing in areas such as international environmental law, climate change law for businesses, and bridging knowledge institutions with practical climate solutions.
