Ready to Impact

Ready to Impact is a 6-week programme for students and young professionals who are looking to create positive social or environmental impact. If you’ve already chosen a problem you want to solve, understand it well, and are ready to validate your solution, read on!

About the programme

You’ve talked to the people who live with the problem. You’ve heard the same frustration three, five, ten times. You know it exists and have proof to back it up.

The next question is harder: Is your solution the one that actually helps? And if it works, who else does it influence?

Ready to Impact is six Mondays to find out.

Is this for you?

Yes, if:

  • You have an idea for a venture with social or environmental impact.
  • You’ve already started doing the groundwork: maybe you talked to people who deal with this, noticed the same pattern come up more than once, or just kept running into it yourself. However it happened, you know that the problem is real.
  • You’re a student or a young founder in or around The Hague, on your own or in a team.
  • You can make time between sessions. That’s where most of the work happens.

Not yet, if you’re still working out which problem you care about or if you’ve already tested your solution and you’re looking for your first customer or your first funding.

The question underneath

Most programmes built for people like you focus on one thing: does it make money? We care about that too, but we’re just as interested in whether it does something real for the world around it. Not as a nice line for your pitch deck, but as something you actually build into how you think (a habit, not a slogan)

Example projects from previous editions

  • A microprocessor-powered smart necklace that instantly alerts police and family with live location when a woman feels unsafe.
  • A consultancy helping AI companies overcome bureaucratic barriers to effectively implement responsible AI in large organizations.
  • A city-level initiative eliminating single-use plastics from local Dutch food markets through sustainable alternatives, policy, and education.
  • A compact, portable device that converts sea wave motion into clean electricity for small-scale coastal energy production.
  • A science-based digital productivity platform and community that helps students study smarter, reduce stress, and achieve balance.
  • A personalized date experience service delivering curated boxes and activities that help couples reconnect and rekindle their spark.
  • A care-matching platform connecting people to the right healthcare professionals based on resonance, affordability, and timing.

What we ask of you

Every week you take what you learned back to real people, and you bring what you learned from them to the next session. If you skip it, there’s nothing to work on.

Plan on dedicating 3-5 hours a week to your work between sessions.

What you get

  • Evidence about your solution, or an honest reason to change it.
  • Trainers and mentors chosen for the projects in the room.
  • A group of builders and creators at the same stage as you.
  • A pitch you can actually use, built on what you learned from testing.
  • A clear plan for your next step: build, pivot, or pause.
  • A practical method for testing your solution with real users, not just friendly feedback.
