New Advisory Board to Navigate a Shifting Peace & Justice Landscape

10 September, 2025

THE HAGUE – The Programming Advisory Board (PAB) of The Hague Humanity Hub has welcomed seven new members and convened its first meeting of the 2025–2026 cycle on the 5th of September. This year’s Board combines new voices with returning members, bringing together perspectives from NGOs, academia, government, networks, and practitioners. Together, they play a vital role in guiding the Hub’s programming and initiatives – helping ensure they remain relevant and impactful for The Hague’s peace and justice ecosystem in the face of shifting global and local challenges.

The PAB’s purpose is to provide perspective and direction at a time when the peace and justice field is under pressure — from political and financial constraints to the urgent need for new forms of collaboration. By bringing together diverse expertise, the Board helps identify priorities, sharpen focus, and translate ideas into tangible opportunities for connection, dialogue, and joint initiatives.

“I’m feeling a sense of urgency for the Hub’s role given the crises in the world today,” said Zoey Breslar, Chair of the PAB. “The strength of this ecosystem provides us an opportunity to be creative, and to harness our ideas and energy to promote peace at a time when it is very much needed. I am very open to new ideas, and I feel it’s important that we (the PAB members) move into action quickly.”

Looking ahead, the PAB aims to help the Hub and its community make sense of, navigate, and adapt to a rapidly changing landscape. To do so, the Board will focus on three priorities in the coming year:

  • Identifying key dialogue topics and nurturing collective action to define the Hub’s role in supporting community initiatives.
  • Increasing the Hub’s capacity to foster and broker valuable connections.
  • Improving the membership concept to maximise value and engagement for the community.
