This is the Red Cross: Help, wherever and whenever it is needed A house collapsing. A village disappearing under water. A family forced to leave everything behind. Emergencies affect young and old. Rich and poor. Near and far. It can happen to anyone. And no one should have to face it alone.

That is why we are there for anyone, anywhere, for any reason. Always help close by For more than 160 years, we have been ready to help, with the largest network of volunteer responders in the world. Neutral and impartial.

Only in this way can we reach people in the places where help is needed most. We do not stop at emergency relief We also help people move forward again and prepare for what may still come.

So that they can help themselves and others when it matters most.

Close to home: when you get blisters during at the Nijmegen 4 Daagse, have to leave your home because of a gas leak, or step on broken glass at a festival.

But also far away: when people are forced to flee violence, or lose their homes due to a mudslide.
