EIA investigates and campaigns against environmental crime and abuse. Our undercover investigations expose transnational wildlife crime and forest crimes such as illegal logging. We work to safeguard global marine ecosystems by addressing threats such as plastic pollution, and we campaign to eliminate powerful refrigerant greenhouse gases.

EIA aims to protect the natural work by:

Exposing environmental destruction and loss of biodiversity through uncompromising and innovative investigations
Using this evidence and research to uncover environmental crimes and abuses and those responsible
Campaigning for protection of the environment through better enforcement of environmental law, progressive policymaking and changes in consumer behavior
Developing effective partnerships and sharing skills and expertise
