EcoStruct Building Technologies

EcoStruct Building Technologies is a Canada- and EU-based materials-technology venture using artificial intelligence to make concrete more climate-friendly, reliable, and affordable. Our work focuses on helping the construction ecosystem reduce cement use and CO₂ emissions while safeguarding safety and performance. EcoStruct’s cloud platform combines AI with international concrete standards to design low-carbon mixes, predict mechanical performance, and support quality control at scale. By analysing plant data, local materials, and project requirements, the system recommends optimised mix designs that maintain or improve strength and durability while cutting unnecessary cement and overall material cost.

Complementing the platform, EcoStruct’s smartphone-based Slump app turns any job-site into a digital testing lab. Using a simple mini-cone test and computer-vision analysis, the app estimates slump and consistency class in seconds, flags potential mix issues, and stores results in a secure digital log. This helps contractors and producers avoid ad-hoc water additions on site, reduce waste, and document quality for clients and regulators. Working with concrete producers, contractors, precast manufacturers, and laboratories across regions, EcoStruct aims to accelerate the transition to low-carbon infrastructure and to make advanced quality control tools accessible even to small and medium-sized players in emerging markets.
