Workshop: Mapping Incidents for Accountability

Workshop: Introduction to Incident Mapping for Accountability Work
Join us for this online workshop, where we’ll walk through the practical basics of incident mapping for accountability work. We’ll start with the essentials: what kinds of data and information you need, how to organize it clearly, and why verification matters. From there, we’ll look at visual mapping techniques and strategic scoping, including how to identify relevant parties, prioritize incidents, choose the right timeframes, and focus on broader conflict zones or specific sites of interest. We’ll also explore real-world examples in Google Earth to show how these methods come together in practice.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a solid foundation for turning scattered information into a clearer picture that can support accountability and advocacy efforts. Please note that this session will be recorded.
