For decades, the cultural heritage sector has taken on the challenges of protecting heritage at risk in the world’s museums, archaeological sites, and other cultural institutions. Yet the sector has lagged in providing proactive and timely support for the cultural rights defenders and artists too often caught in crises. This event seeks to promote awareness of what heritage professionals can do better to support our colleagues at risk and what steps they can take to prepare themselves in the event of future need.
