PeaceTech Hack – Reclaim Connection

The day after ImpactFest in The Hague, Changemakers Agency, We Are Changemakers, and Project Didi are hosting a Quarter-Hackathon at The Hague Humanity Hub.
Our mission: to co-create a prototype platform that empowers civic organizations to reconnect directly with citizens, without relying on META or other commercial platforms.
We have space for a maximum of 30 participants at this in-person event in The Hague.
The challenge is presented by Collectief Kapitaal The Hague, a local initiative aiming for deeper engagement with the city’s residents while remaining independent of commercial tech ecosystems.
Could we design a trusted digital space where citizens truly own their connections with civic organisations?
What if these organisations could share and collaborate within that network—openly, respectfully, and transparently?
And how might this strengthen the social fabric of our cities?
This hackathon marks the beginning of a new PeaceTech agenda at We Are Changemakers, exploring how technology can foster trust, inclusion, and civic empowerment.
