Who are the spotlight speakers?
The Global Shapers The Hague Hub is a network of young people driving dialogue, action, and change. Created by the World Economic Forum, the network consists of young people between the age of 20 to 30 driven by social impact. Shapers are selected on the basis of their achievements, leadership potential, and willingness to make a difference. The Hague Hub believes in a city that is more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable. We undertake projects in The Hague that help the city, its residents, and its environment thrive.
The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS)
Launching the book Voices of Gen Z: Shaping Transitions in the City of Peace and Justice. The book project explores how this demographic navigates and influences societal transitions, offering a critical analysis of their aspirations, methods, and the structural challenges they confront. It is a rigorous examination of a generation poised at the forefront of substantial change, offering vital insights for scholars, policymakers, and civic leaders engaged with the future of urban governance, social cohesion, and democratic participation. This research captures a vital contemporary dynamic, articulating the nuanced perspectives of young people shaping their world.
