Modeling COVID-19 to Inform Humanitarian Operations: Event Banner

Please join us for a virtual event to mark the public release of the code and documentation of the ‘OCHA-Bucky’ predictive model for COVID-19 spread and mitigation in humanitarian crises.

Participants will learn why and how the model was created and how it is being used to inform humanitarian operations in six countries: Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan. We will also outline how to access and customize the model for new applications and discuss the increased use of predictive analytics in humanitarian response more broadly.

There speakers are from UN OCHA, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the World Heath Organisation.
