Lab of Labs: integration, representation and social exclusion in the Netherlands
6 November, 2023 @ 17:00 - 19:00

Event Overview
Piero Gandini This link opens in a new tab and The Hague Humanity Hub This link opens in a new tab present a Lab of Labs. A pilot series of facilitated conversations seeking to challenge and promote reflections on complex social topics.
Our first laboratory will focus on opening conversations and, most probably, actionable steps forward around sensitive topics such as integration, representation, and exclusion in the Netherlands. Socially there are also challenges as the host communities are not always welcoming them and there are few spaces and initiatives targeting to bridge the gap.
We believe that a social laboratory can become a true tool for radical social transformation. A personal and collective laboratory at the same time. A place from which to launch a truly emancipating life process.
In the coming sessions, the Lab will explore the challenges, barriers and needs of front-line NGOs and civil society organizations (CSOs) as well as private sector actors involved in the response. Stay tuned for the reviews and summary of the 1st session, if you’d like to be involved in the next ones. Join us for an evening of fruitful discussions!
Desired Outcomes
- >Facilitated networking among Hub members and broader Hague peace and justice community;
- >Catalyst to open discussions on social problems in the Netherlands (and beyond)
- >Promote reflections and challenge ongoing understanding of integration, representation and exclusion in the Netherlands for newcomers.
This series format grants flexibility in the design, allowing the facilitators and the participants to go beyond these desired outputs.
