Justice Matters 2026 Conference

6 May - 8 May
Justice Matters Conference

Justice First. Stability Follows: Rethinking Peace and Security

As global conflict intensifies, one question becomes unavoidable: can there be lasting stability without justice? Justice Matters 2026 brings together global leaders, institutions, and practitioners to explore why justice must be at the centre of peacebuilding.

Event Details

  • Dates: 6 – 8 May 2026
  • Location: The Hague, The Netherlands & Livestream
  • Main Plenary: 7 May, Peace Palace, Carnegieplein 2

About the Conference
With global peace declining and conflict levels rising, Justice Matters 2026 challenges conventional approaches to security by placing justice at the core. The conference explores how fair, accessible, and people-centred justice systems can prevent conflict, address grievances, and support sustainable peace.

Bringing together policymakers, practitioners, and international organisations, the programme focuses on turning justice into a frontline strategy—rather than a post-conflict afterthought.
