Global South perspectives on NATO
17 June @ 12:30 - 14:00

With the entire city buzzing with events in the run-up to the NATO summit taking place in The Hague on 25 and 26 June, it is striking how little attention is being paid to voices from the Global South.
The International Institute of Social Studies and Leiden University are turning the tables and will put the Global South perspectives on NATO at the centre of this event.
Panellists will highlight questions such as:
- How is NATO viewed from the Global South?
- What should NATO’s engagement with the Global South be?
Panellists
- Tahir AbbasOpens external, Professor Radicalisation Studies at Leiden University
- Shyamika Jayasundera-Smits, Associate Professor at ISS
- Yeshiwas Degu Belay, PhD researcher at ISS

The panel will be moderated by Dirk Jan Koch.
