About the Event
Since late February 2026, escalating air strikes in Iran and Lebanon have led to a rapidly worsening humanitarian crisis. This KUNO expert meeting will provide a timely update on political developments and humanitarian conditions, with a primary focus on Lebanon.
Following intensified attacks from 2 March, Lebanon is facing its most severe deterioration in security since the 2024 ceasefire. Over 1.2 million people are displaced, healthcare access is disrupted, and casualties continue to rise. Developments in Iran—where widespread damage and high casualty figures have also been reported—remain closely linked, though information is limited.
This session aims to strengthen understanding of the current situation, highlight urgent humanitarian needs, and explore how response efforts can be better coordinated at this critical moment.
