After two years of scorching fighting, millions displaced, siege, famine, violence against women, and the ruthless destruction of human lives, attention is finally being paid to the mass murders in Sudan. But what are the political implications? There is still no humanitarian access, pressure on the arms suppliers is lacking, what can the Netherlands do, and is fake news dividing the Sudanese? How do we help the Sudanese return to democracy, unity, and lasting peace?
Sudan Media Forum, in collaboration with Free Press Unlimited and Pax for Peace, invites you for an urgent situation update on media, politics, and human rights. It covers what needs to be done to stop the violence, which Sudanese initiatives are helping to relieve civilians in trouble, and what can and should the Netherlands do. The event includes a short film about the civil resistance, speakers, and surprise performances by Sudanese performers.
