Driving Systemic Change: Redefining Loss and Damage

Humanity Hub’s member Mercy Corps is hosting a session at the upcoming ImpactFest, on November 7.
The session, hosted by Mercy Corps, the Broker, and the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance, in collaboration with Save the Children, will look at approaching climate justice with a proactive lens.
Climate change impacts have become an everyday reality, which has made ‘Loss and Damage’ increasingly prominent, especially as it showcases systemic failures at many levels. Thus, a proactive approach is required to minimise and address ‘Loss and Damage,’ centring around concrete entry points for action. Through the expert guidance of Barbara Rosen Jacobson, and Nina Qaiem Maqami, and through further collaboration with Save the Children, we challenge all actors across the ecosystem to think about their position in the system, and how to leverage this position into building climate resilience.
