Communicating with impact: How to bring global citizenship and global issues close and create real engagement for international cooperation

How do you embed global citizenship in your organization, and how do you create real, lasting engagement with global issues? How do we bring these topics closer to a wider audience – and how do we also reach young people in the process? During this meeting, we will share learning experiences and insights on how we as organizations deal with global citizenship. Together, we are investigating the role of communication in this and how we can give international solidarity more meaning and visibility. A moment to exchange experiences, gain inspiration and go into depth together.

What can you expect?

How do we give global citizenship a meaningful place within our organizations, at a time when rapid fundraising and marketing strategies often predominate? Is it possible to make room for awareness and involvement, even if the pressure on short-term results is great? By putting global citizenship more at the heart of our work, we aim to build broader support and sustainable support for international cooperation.

But what does this require of us? Do we need more time, trust and patience to form real relationships and create lasting engagement on global issues? And how can we engage citizens in an inclusive and meaningful way on topics such as human rights, democracy, equality and climate justice?

In a previous session, we already explored a number of insights. This meeting builds on that. Together, we look for strategies, inspiration and space to deepen communication and engagement — for more impact, connection and global citizenship.
