What do you know about Ethiopia? The stories that reach Europe rarely represent the voices of the new generation of Ethiopians. Instead, their voices are overshadowed by narratives of crisis and emergency. When looking beyond the headlines we see young Ethiopians showing how powerful community efforts can be in shaping a narrative of strength, beauty and overcoming challenges.
This evening focuses on their stories. Through documentary film, photography and conversation, the programme explores how resilience is built in practice, from young changemakers to humanitarian workers, and how local communities support one another in times of uncertainty.
