Ukraine is entering its fifth year of full-scale war. The humanitarian situation is not stabilizing, but worsening. Students for Ukraine therefore presents the documentary Beyond Prayers, which follows Leiden students who organized a humanitarian aid operation to Kyiv. The film not only depicts the mission but also raises broader questions about civic engagement, youth initiatives, and humanitarian aid in protracted conflict situations. How can these initiatives change our thinking about humanitarian responsibility?
Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with the filmmakers and experts, focusing on themes such as civil protection, citizen participation, democratic resilience, and international solidarity.
