In her new book “Adapting to Climate Change in Modern Policing the Rise of the “Eco-Cop””, Dr. Anna MatczakSenior Lecturer in Comparative Criminology at THUAS summarises, analyses, and organises existing knowledge on the impact of climate change on police organisations and police work, creating a practitioner-oriented narrative enriched by insights from 23 experts of diverse backgrounds and international profiles located across the world.

 

While the book is intended primarily for police organisations, it also serves as a structured research and policy agenda – a roadmap capturing the full range of perspectives currently discussed in the field.

 

In partnership with The Hague Humanity Hub, and co-organised with Multilevel Regulation research group and THUAS, the author, Anna Matczak will host a conversation around the rise of the “Eco-Cop”, the modern policing and climate adaptation, asking how climate change impacts police practice across the world?
