The Hague Academy for Local Governance
The Hague Academy for Local Governance is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that aims to strengthen local governance worldwide by offering training and capacity building programmes for people working for or with local governments, both in The Netherlands and abroad.
The Hague Academy for Local Governance is committed to strengthening local governance around the world! Since 2008, they have developed and implemented projects in over 60 countries. Their most well-known projects are We Are Able! Shiraka Ecosystems for Entrepreneurs and Shiraka Water Management.
From open courses to customized trainings, The Hague Academy for Local Governance offers a broad range of thematic opportunities, fostering knowledge exchange with key practitioners in The Netherlands and enabling participating students to import their local knowledge into the classes.
