During this symposium, experts by experience and professionals will speak about the importance of experiential expertise in decision-making within policy and program development with regard to victimization. During the symposium, concepts such as meaningful participation and co-creation will be discussed and what good practices are for challenges in deploying experts by experience. This with the aim of providing tools to deploy experiential expertise and to better align policy and programs with the needs of victims. During the symposium, the emphasis will be on sexual and gender-based violence.
