The Role of Parliamentarians in Atrocity Prevention

13 May, 2021 @ 17:00 - 18:00

In this panel event we will be hearing from leaders in the field on the role of parliamentarians in atrocity prevention.

About this Event

Atrocity crimes are considered to be the most serious crimes against humanity. Its status as an international crime is based on the belief that the acts associated with it affect the dignity of human beings (UN Responsibility to Protect, 2005).

This event brings together experts to discuss, reflect, and review current thinking on atrocity prevention approaches. Furthermore, the panelists will explore ways to strengthen global action, spur new collaborations, improve our understanding and complement ongoing global efforts on addressing atrocity prevention.
