Volunteer Positions – The Beautiful Unseen

The Beautiful Unseen, makes natural soaps together with women who have left prostitution and are looking for a new, safe future. Each soap represents hope, healing, and dignity. Their team is growing, and they could really use your time, talent, and commitment!

They’re looking for volunteers to contribute weekly . For Monday or Wednesday positions, they require you to be physically present at our office in The Hague. Living in or near The Hague is therefore a plus. Experience isn’t required, but a passion for their mission is .

For all volunteers, The Beautiful Unseen requests a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and offer a volunteer allowance in accordance with the statutory scheme .

Social Media & Communications Volunteer

Are you creative and do you have a feeling for words and images?

• You will design and write occasional posts for Instagram or LinkedIn, using The Beautiful Unseen’s warm and honest tone of voice.
• You will contribute ideas about storytelling, campaigns, and ways to make their story visible.
• You will work remotely, in your own time, in consultation with their communications officer/director.
• Do you enjoy working together? Then it is also possible to work a day (or part day) at their office on Mondays.
• Experience is nice, but not necessary. Enthusiasm and love for their mission are enough!

Volunteer markets & events

Do you enjoy being among people and are you enthusiastic about talking about impact?

• A few times a year , you’ll join The Beautiful Unseen at markets in The Hague and the surrounding area.
• You ‘ll help with sales, be their friendly face, and tell visitors about their work.
• You’ll work in a small team and schedule shifts as agreed. Experience isn’t necessary; however, enjoyment of socializing and presenting yourself is important.

Volunteer soap making (Monday)

Do you really want to make a difference for women in vulnerable situations?

• Every Monday The Beautiful Unseen makes soap with women from prostitution or other vulnerable situations.
• You will support the workshop facilitator: setting up, participating, cleaning up, and replenishing materials.
• You are comfortable interacting with the women in a calm and nonjudgmental way.
• You offer safety and stability simply by being present.
• Office presence is required.

Volunteer cutting, stamping & webshop (Wednesday)

Are you precise, patient and do you enjoy working together on something beautiful?

• You will help cut, stamp, and package The Beautiful Unseen’s soap or soap bars.
• You will assist with packaging webshop orders.
• You will work with a woman from the target group and encourage her in her process.
• You are accurate and enjoy a rhythmic approach.
• Office presence is required.
