Impact Fest 2025: Under Pressure – Brace for Impact

16 October, 2025

Join The Hague Humanity Hub at Impact Fest 2025 for a timely conversation on how strategic investments can strengthen resilience and create positive change in a world under pressure.

On Impact Fest’s 10th year, the mood in the sector looks a little different. Born out of a bold conviction that ‘doing business’ and ‘doing good’ aren’t mutually exclusive, Impact Fest exists to foster innovation, collaboration, and drive systemic change on the most pressing global challenges facing the world today. Yet today these challenges seem to be ever increasing, as we find ourselves in democracies under pressure, an ever-heating climate, and a shifting international political order, against the backdrop of technological breakthroughs which offer both hope and cause for caution. That’s why this year, Impact Fest is both a celebration and a reckoning with the real challenges and opportunities presented by a sector under pressure. Will new sparks fly, or will we be pushed off course? The world is changing – brace for impact.

The Hague Humanity Hub has been engaged with Impact Fest for many years by mobilising our ecosystem to participate in and host sessions every year. From climate justice to regenerative principles, the Hub has brought a myriad of exciting and critical conversations to the community through Impact Fest – and this year is no exception.

At Impact Fest 2025, The Humanity Hub will be co-hosting a collaborative conversation – together with Lifeline Ukraine and Finance for Peace – on how strategic investments can strengthen resilience and create positive change, despite challenging global conditions. This conversation couldn’t be more timely, as declining development funding worldwide is forcing many NGOs and CSOs to reassess their operational capabilities to continue delivering on their missions. Yet, looking outside of the civil society bubble, could there be a business case for investing in peace? What would a return on investment look like in this case?

Join our session to delve into these questions and more with a diverse group of colleagues working in business, impact investing, fundraising, CSOs and NGOs, etc. The session will also be a great opportunity for those interested in funding for peace to meet, and potentially even foster the beginnings of an impactful cross-sector partnership. With global instability rising, and effecting more markets across the world, perhaps not investing is peace is the greatest business risk.

Beyond the Hub’s session, join us at Impact Fest for sessions on funding pathways for nature restoration, reclaiming food autonomy through hyper-localisation, ecosystems under pressure, investor speed dating, and many more. Far from a top-down approach, Impact Fest was co-created from the very beginning, and is a place for innovators, by innovators with space for genuine interactions and substantive exploration of what we can do together.
