Important societal transitions in the fields of climate, energy, digitalisation and security depend heavily on technological developments, but technological knowledge and engineers are often (too) distant from actual decision-making processes. As TU Delft | Campus The Hague, we aim to bridge this gap and better involve our state-of-the-art technological knowledge in political considerations, policy making and implementation, so-called ‘engineering for policy’.
How do we do that? By approaching engineering education, research and societal impact in an integrated and transdisciplinary way and by being proactively present in the vibrant heart of The Hague, the city where national and international policy are of central focus. Our campus in The Hague acts as a hub for knowledge exchange, where we proactively seek cooperation with local, national and international public partners and organisations.
