Campus & Community Engagement Internship – The Hague Humanity Hub
You’ll help create meaningful visitor experiences, contribute to the delivery of community activities, and support outreach to members, partners and delegations. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills in hosting, sales, and community engagement within an international ecosystem working toward peace and justice.
General Responsibilities
As an intern, you will work closely with the Campus and Programme teams to:
- Host visitors and delegations, give tours, and contribute to an excellent on-site experience.
- Support the development and delivery of engagement formats for tours, visits, and community events. (e.g. Community drinks, Member meetups, etc…)
- Assist in outreach to potential partners and clients for community collaboration space activities and services.
- Contribute to the day-to-day development of the campus, including its coworking and office services.
- Collecting feedback and helping monitor engagement activities to inform future improvements.
- Support the collaboration between campus operations and community programming (especially for third-party events).
What you bring
- A genuine interest in the Humanity Hub’s community of changemakers towards a more peaceful and just world.
- Affinity and some experience with project management and event organisation.
- A curious, friendly personality with the ability to stay calm, responsive and solution-oriented.
- You are punctual, well-organised, proactive and can multi-task.
- A flexible, can-do attitude, ready to jump between tasks and help where needed, and suggest improvements.
- You are fluent in English and are learning or interested in learning Dutch. Dutch-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication skills, in writing and verbally.
- You can work independently and collaborate within a team. You welcome feedback and use it to improve and learn.
- Available for flexible working hours to support events as required.
Requirements
- You are studying/have studied a degree in a relevant field (for example, but not limited to: Business Management & Development, Event Management, Development Studies, Data Science, Political Sciences, International Relations, etc)
- You can work 3 to 4 days per week (24-32 hours)
- You are legally allowed to do an internship in the Netherlands (linked to your university or not).
- You are living in, or near, The Hague. The Hub unfortunately cannot cover transportation costs to & from work
- You are available for the entire duration of the internship.
