SUMMARY:Agenda Exhibition Israel/Palestine; Pain and Hope – the Search for Peace Begins with Listening
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition is open daily from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Admission is free. \nThe agenda is still under development and may be subject to change. Please check the agenda again shortly before the indicated date. The links for signing up are not yet made. Until that moment signing up is also possible through awf@annalindh.nl \nBackground \nThis exhibition\, Israel/Palestine; Pain and Hope\, is organised by the Dutch civil society network of the Anna Lindh Foundation in cooperation with numerous organisations. The Anna Lindh Foundation is an intergovernmental organisation established in 2005 that emerged from the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation process initiated in 1995 with the Barcelona Declaration. \nThis process was preceded by important political developments\, including the Madrid Conference of 1991\, where the principle of “land for peace” became central. This principle formed the basis for the 1993 Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The Barcelona Process subsequently developed into a Euro-Mediterranean partnership for peace\, cooperation\, and dialogue. This led in 2005 to the establishment of the Anna Lindh Foundation\, in which Israel and Palestine participate together with other European and Mediterranean countries\, in the hope of promoting mutual understanding and peaceful cooperation. \nThe exhibition was organised within a very short period of time. Everyone who feels involved with Israel and Palestine was invited to submit work to our selection committee. Every individual and organisation that contributed material is responsible for the views represented in their own contributions. The Dutch Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation emphasises the importance of listening with empathy to different perspectives without endorsing specific political solutions. \nWe present photography and photographs of artworks that reflect the immense pain experienced by both Jews and Palestinians. At the same time\, we must continue to hold on to hope for a just and peaceful future for Jews and Palestinians alike. We therefore explicitly invited participants to contribute works that express hope. \nAgenda \nOn Thursday June 18\, venue open at 15:30. Opening at 16:30. Award-winning Palestinian professional photojournalist\, filmmaker\, and media consultant Mohammed Zanoun will present one photograph of Gaza from before the war and two photographs taken after its destruction. Following this brief presentation Mariëlle Vavier\, Deputy Mayor and Alderman for Poverty Reduction\, Inclusion\, Healthcare and International Affairs in The Hague\, former mayor Wim Deetman\, former D66 Senator Hanneke-Gelderblom\, rabbi Asjer Waterman (LJG) and our Egyptian curator Dr. Afaf Badran will open the exhibition. After the opening Dr. Afaf Badran will take Deputy Mayor Vavier and other speakers to the exhibition. Space is limited. Registration is required. LINK eventbrite \nDue to the expected number of guests\, a second opening session will take place at 7:30 p.m. Unfortunately\, Deputy Mayor Mariëlle Vavier will not be able to attend this second opening. \nThe opening is intended as a space for encounter\, dialogue\, and reflection\, not as a demonstration. Therefore\, flags\, banners\, and other forms of protest expression are not permitted. The wearing of personal clothing and symbols\, including a keffiyeh\, pins\, and religious symbols\, is permitted. \nA second opening moment is on Friday June 19\, 19:30 – 21:30\, with the presentation of the Podcast Truly Heard with Hanneke Gelderblom-Lankhout and Palestinian journalist Taghreed Elkhodary\, born and raised in Gaza\, about compassion with others despite big differences in convictions. Podcast Stefan Flos explains how this podcast came about. After the presentation questions can be asked. Signing up required \nDialogue Evenings \nOn the following evenings\, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm\, we are organising dialogue discussions. These are free of charge and open to the public. Some evenings will be conducted in Dutch\, while others will be in English. Participants are required to register online in advance. \nThursday 18 June \nPodcast Truly Heard with Jewish former D66 senator Hanneke Gelderblom and Palestinian journalist Taghreed Elkhodary\, born and raised in Gaza. The subject is compassion for people with whom we disagree. We will present the podcast. Podcast maker Stefan Vlos will explain how it was produced\, after which visitors will be able to ask questions to Hanneke\, Taghreed\, and Stefan. English with possible Dutch translation. [CONFIRMED] Registration: LINK eventbrite \nSaturday 20 June \nDialogue in Nes Ammim. A Christian community in northern Israel that brings Israelis from different backgrounds\, including religious backgrounds\, into dialogue with one another. The foundation facilitates and guides this dialogue in a completely apolitical manner. What is needed for this\, and what can we in the Netherlands learn from it? Here too\, conversations can sometimes feel uncomfortable because listeners may have certain expectations or assumptions. Do we dare to ask questions and truly listen? Are we still able to look at others with genuine curiosity? Nes Ammim puts this into practice in Israel and\, especially on this evening\, also in the Netherlands. Hanneke Gelderblom also hopes to be present. Participants will again be encouraged to take an active part in the discussion by asking questions. \nWithin Nes Ammim there is a conviction that taking political positions makes it more difficult to bring together participants with widely differing political views. Presentation of the dialogue village Nes Ammim in Israel\, where Jews\, Christians\, and Muslims with strongly differing views come together. Presentation in Dutch. [CONFIRMED] Registration: LINK eventbrite \nTuesday 23 June \nIs the Two-State Solution Still Viable? \nArabist and journalist Eildert Mulder has lost hope in a two-state solution and will present his proposal for a one-state solution in 20 minutes. Dr. Gershon Baskin of the Alliance for Two States remains convinced that the two-state solution is still possible and will respond to Mulder. Both will present their visions and engage in discussion with one another. Dr. Baskin lives in Israel and will participate online. Hanneke Gelderblom will also participate. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions. Language: English [CONFIRMED with both speakers] Registration: LINK eventbrite \nThursday 25 June \nA two-part podcast with Bart Wallet and Natascha van Weezel about peace initiatives. Part 1: What do civil society peace initiatives still mean in a time of war and ongoing threat? Part 2: Why do attempts at peace continue to prove so difficult? The role of politics and leadership in the Middle East and the tension between peace\, security\, and justice will be discussed. We will engage in discussion after seeing the podcast. Language: Dutch. Registration: LINK eventbrite \nFriday 26 June \nMeeting with award-winning Palestinian professional photojournalist\, filmmaker\, and media consultant Mohammed Zanoun\, who portrays the painful human consequences of conflict\, siege\, and starvation in Gaza. In addition\, Mohammed conducted academic studies examining the long-term effects of war on the region. In the line of duty\, he survived life-threatening injuries that caused severe facial and bodily trauma. Despite these profound physical challenges\, he returned to the field with unwavering determination to continue his mission and convey the truth to the world. Former D66 senator Hanneke Gelderblom will reflect on Mohammed’s work. Language: English [CONFIRMED] Registration: LINK eventbrite \nSaturday 27 June \nErik Tilanus and Ambassador Robert Bosch\, secretary and chairman of the CDA Middle East Members’ Council. How has the CDA’s position regarding Israel and the Palestinians changed since the founding of the CDA\, and how does the party navigate between the theory of its party programme and political practice? \nExplanation as to why the CDA Middle East Members’ Council has been invited specifically: they are members of the Dutch network of the Anna Lindh Foundation. This network is also open to Middle East-oriented working groups and committees from all political parties. Former D66 senator Hanneke Gelderblom will also participate in this discussion. Language: Dutch [CONFIRMED] Registration: LINK eventbrite \nDonations \nThis exhibition was made possible through a donation of €3\,936 from the Anna Lindh Foundation. We were therefore unfortunately not in a position to pay the photographers and artists. In addition\, we worked exclusively with volunteers. The total costs are not yet fully known\, but despite these voluntary contributions our costs are certainly considerably higher. We would therefore greatly appreciate your donation. There are three ways to contribute: \n	For families of participating photographers/artists in Gaza\n	\n	For the organisational costs of the Arab-West Foundation\, which is entirely dependent on donations. The foundation has ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation) status. \n	\n	For individual photographers/artists who contributed to this exhibition. \n	\nYour donations are greatly appreciated! \n	More information about the event

SUMMARY:#DemocracyDrinks: Sovereignty\, stabilization\, and the Venezuelan question
DESCRIPTION:The future of post-Maduro Venezuela: democratic transition or externally managed rule?\nSix months after the U.S. operation that removed Nicolás Maduro from office\, the basic question of what Venezuela is (politically and legally) remains unsettled. Delcy Rodríguez\, Maduro’s vice president\, sits in the presidential chair. Several senior figures from the previous government remain in their posts. Chevron is signing agreements in Caracas. Commercial flights have resumed. Political prisoners are being released in batches\, while hundreds are still subjected to cruel and inhuman treatment. Almost 8 million people are in dire need on humanitarian assistance. And the U.S. administration has stated it will “run the country” until a transition it considers ‘acceptable’ can be organised. \nThis edition of #DemocracyDrinks examines whether what is unfolding meets the conventional definition of a democratic transition\, or whether it more closely resembles the post-intervention administrative arrangements seen in other contexts\, where formal sovereignty coexisted with substantial external decision-making over security\, economic policy\, and institutional design. The two are not mutually exclusive\, and the literature on post-conflict state-building suggests that the distinction often becomes legible only in retrospect. \nMeet the speaker: \nVictoria Capriles\, visiting research fellow at the Asser Institute and researcher\, legal practitioner\, and human rights advocate specializing in international migration\, gender-based violence\, and forced displacement from Venezuela\, will explore: \n\nFrom an international human rights law point of view: what frameworks actually govern the current arrangement\, what role UN mechanisms have played or been sidelined from\, and how transitional justice is (or isn’t) being structured.\nFrom the practitioner side: how donor priorities\, partnership architectures\, and stakeholder engagement shape the realities on the ground\, often more decisively than formal political settlements.\n\nCecilia Rivero\, peacebuilding and governance professional based in The Hague\, with experience in program management\, partnership development\, and facilitation across Venezuela and internationally\, will be the moderator of this event. \nCome ready to ask uncomfortable questions and leave with a more grounded understanding of one of the most complex political moments of our time. \nThe Hague Humanity Hub\n	Register now! This link opens in a new tab\n	\nWhat are the #DemocracyDrinks? \n#DemocracyDrinks is an informal\, recurring conversation and networking series bringing together people working on democracy\, peace\, justice\, and democratic participation. \nThe format is intentionally simple: open\, dialogue-led conversations in a relaxed setting. #DemocracyDrinks The Hague provides space to connect across sectors\, test ideas\, explore emerging questions\, and reflect collectively on democratic challenges beyond formal panels or presentations. \nLaunched by Defend Democracy in Brussels in 2018\, #DemocracyDrinks now takes place in cities around the world. Editions in The Hague have brought together a diverse mix of practitioners from NGOs\, international institutions\, think tanks\, government\, and civil society. The Hague series is co-organised by the Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC)\, the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD)\, and The Hague Humanity Hub (THHH). \nInterested in hosting your own edition? SUMMARY:[Panel discussion] Russia's weaponisation of sexual violence against men in Ukraine
DESCRIPTION:Sexual violence in conflict is systematically underreported — especially when the victims are men. This panel discussion brings to light one of the least visible dimensions of Russia’s war against Ukraine: the deliberate use of sexual violence against male detainees as a weapon of war. \nBased on testimonies from 212 Ukrainian men held across five oblasts who have been subjected to sexual violence during their detention\, International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR) and Truth Hounds present the reportTruth Beneath Silence: Russia’s Weaponisation of Sexual Violence Against Men in Ukraine. \nThe study showcases evidence of a large network of detention facilities that Russian forces established on occupied Ukrainian territories to administer torture and sexual violence against men in Ukraine. \nThe authors show how Russian forces use this tactic on an unprecedented scale against Ukrainian men\, aiming to break the civilian population and eliminate resistance. \nThe event brings together survivors\, legal experts\, civil society representatives\, and government stakeholders to discuss the report’s key findings and explore concrete pathways to justice and accountability. \nReport authors: \n\nInternational Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR)\nTruth Hounds\n\nSpeakers \n\nAndriy KOSTIN\, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands\nLaimonas TALAT-KELPŠA\, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to the Kingdom of the Netherlands\nKate Orlovsky\, Director\, Hague Office\, International Bar Association\nAndrii Latsyba\, Legal Counsel\, Truth Hounds\nEvan Harary\, Legal Counsel\, Truth Hounds\nMariam Bezhanishvili\, Senior Legal Officer\, IPHR\nAnna Sosonska\, Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine\nDr Ewelina U. Across sectors such as human rights\, peacebuilding\, migration\, social innovation\, accessibility\, arts and culture\, and civil society\, conversations around inclusion and representation are increasingly relevant to how communities function and grow. \nThis edition of Community Drinks creates an informal and welcoming space where different perspectives\, lived experiences\, and ideas can come together openly. Rather than approaching inclusion as a purely institutional concept\, the evening focuses on the everyday practices\, conversations\, and connections that help people feel seen\, heard\, and able to participate meaningfully in shared spaces. \nThrough short spotlights and open discussion\, we will explore questions such as: \n\nHow can diverse perspectives strengthen collaboration\, creativity\, and social impact?\nWhat role do accessibility\, representation\, and belonging play in shaping stronger international communities?\nHow can informal spaces and networks create opportunities for connection\, participation\, and change?\nThe programme aims to foster thoughtful exchange across disciplines\, sectors\, and experiences — while creating space for new connections\, reflection\, and collaboration in a relaxed community setting.\n\nWho are the speakers? \n\nStichting Queer Mind is a dedicated organization working to combat homelessness and insecurity among LHBTIQ+ youth in the Netherlands. With a mission to foster self-reliance and inclusion\, the foundation envisions a society where everyone\, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity\, can live safely and participate fully.\nGender Concerns International has the mission to promote gender equality at a policy-making level. That includes collaborating with national authorities and institutions\, as well as bridging the interaction gap between local women organisations and the national policymakers.\nJustice & Peace Netherlands is a human rights organization dedicated to defending and promoting respect for human rights and social justice globally and within the Netherlands. Their work is focused on building and strengthening local communities so that they can take action to create just\, sustainable\, and welcoming societies.\n\nWho is it for? \nIf you are interested in connecting with people and their work towards a more peaceful\, just and sustainable world\, this event is for you. Whatever your role or sector\, join Community Drinks to relax\, exchange perspectives\, and connect with this vibrant community committed to making the world more peaceful\, just and sustainable\, one conversation at a time. \n	Register now!

SUMMARY:[Panel discussion] Diplomacy and the practice of international law in Roman Antiquity
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a panel discussion that explores how international law and diplomacy actually functioned in Roman Antiquity (500 BCE – 476 CE). This period is often presented in modern handbooks of the history of international law either as a ‘primitive stage’ or a ‘pre-history’\, when it is not left out of the handbook narrative completely. \nThere are a number of reasons for this\, which will be set out in the first panel presentation\, given by Jacob Giltaijof the Law Faculty of the University of Amsterdam. Most obviously\, in Roman Antiquity\, there was no such thing as a ‘nation’ in the modern sense of the word. However\, especially the Roman Empire did at one point have a set population and territory (the ‘limes’). Moreover\, a theoretical concept known as the ‘ius gentium’ seems to indicate the existence of a type of ‘international law’. Then again\, the meaning of the ‘ius gentium’ appears to differ fundamentally from what we would now see as ‘international law’. \nIn the second panel presentation\, the focus is not on these theoretical considerations\, but rather on the practice of international law. More specifically\, Professor Emilia Mataix Ferrándiz of the Law Faculty of the International University of Catalonia will discuss the diplomatic practice in Roman Antiquity\, as a counterweight to the theoretical considerations in the first presentation. By focusing on diplomacy as a practice of international law\, it is possible to go beyond the idea of Roman Antiquity knowing an international law only in a ‘primitive’ or ‘pre-historical’ stage. Indeed\, it can be concluded that international law\, however defined in this period\, was actually intricate and well-developed. \nA reception will follow. \nSpeakers \n\nDr Jacob Giltaij\, Faculty of Law University of Amsterdam\nProf. Emilia Mataix Ferrándiz\, Faculty of Law International University of Catalonia\n\nCo-organisers \n\nPaul Scholten Centre for Jurisprudence\n\n	Register now!

It presents the newly published book Legal Sightseeing and International Law (Routledge) and highlights the practice of legal sightseeing\, including creative activities\, guided ‘tours’\, an exhibition\, and a festive reception. \nThis festival is an invitation to pause and wonder at the spectacular yet mundane practice that we have come to call legal sightseeing. Legal sightseeing signals the widespread ‘eventisation’ of international law: increasingly\, international courthouses are becoming top tourist destinations that host public events\, exhibitions\, and tours. But international law also pops up in more everyday spaces: as the theme for an organised city run or as a symbol printed on a T-shirt or an image on a cookie jar. Legal sightseeing stands for this broad category of encounters between ‘international law’ and ‘the public’ that encompasses many different activities\, sites\, artefacts\, and participants. Legal sightseeing asks how international law is presented to ‘the public’ in these encounters\, and in turn wonders what that public shows up for. Findings are presented through a photo blog on www.legalsightseeing.com\, which doubles as a platform showcasing experimental and visually-oriented research in international law. \nThe book Legal Sightseeing and International Law presents a rich collection of images and research that introduces legal sightseeing as both the phenomenon under study and an experimental research methodology. Structured as a catalogue\, the book covers a wide range of iconic and surprising instances of legal sightseeing\, located\, for example\, at the former American Embassy in the Netherlands\, the Museum of White Terror in Taipei\, in Bulgaria’s capital city\, Sofia\, and at more traditional sites such as the Peace Palace in The Hague and Courtroom 600 in Nuremberg. By revisiting this selection of projects curated under the legal sightseeing umbrella\, the book presents an innovative\, visually oriented and collaborative method of research and contributes to academic discussions on international law’s visual turn\, its spaces and materiality\, and the plurality of international law’s audiences. \nThe Legal Sightseeing Festival is an informal interdisciplinary event that will speak to academics\, legal professionals\, artists\, students\, and members of the general public interested in international law\, politics\, and art. \nCo-organisers \n\nVrije Universiteit Amsterdam\nLegal Sightseeing\nThe VU Interdisciplinary Centre for European Studies\nKNIVR\n\nSpeakers \n\nSofia Stolk\, VU Amsterdam\nRenske Vos\, VU Amsterdam\nAntoine Duval\, Asser Institute\nCarl Lewis\, Asser Institute\nVittoria Becci\, EUI\nHanna Zwienenberg\, VU Amsterdam\nEliana Cusato\, Tilburg University\n\n	Register now!

SUMMARY:Beyond the Headlines: Stories from Ethiopia
DESCRIPTION:What do you know about Ethiopia? The stories that reach Europe rarely represent the voices of the new generation of Ethiopians. Instead\, their voices are overshadowed by narratives of crisis and emergency. When looking beyond the headlines we see young Ethiopians showing how powerful community efforts can be in shaping a narrative of strength\, beauty and overcoming challenges. \nThis evening focuses on their stories. Through documentary film\, photography and conversation\, the programme explores how resilience is built in practice\, from young changemakers to humanitarian workers\, and how local communities support one another in times of uncertainty. \nTickets: free admission \nPlace: The Hague Humanity Hub \nDate & Time: 2nd of July 2026\, 17:15 – 20:30 \n  \n	Register now

SUMMARY:North-South Ocean Dialogue and Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:An exclusive event by the Oceania Caribbean Climate Alliance\, in partnership with Global Shapers The Hague (an initiative of the World Economic Forum) \nAt the North-South Ocean Dialogue and Film Screening\, participants can expect: \n\nA curated selection of short films by leading climate activists and cultural practitioners from across Oceania and the Caribbean.\nAn engaging panel discussion featuring filmmakers and experts in diplomacy\, policy\, science\, and the arts.\nExclusive workshops and networking opportunities with international guest speakers from Australia\, Fiji\, and Trinidad & Tobago\, alongside leaders based in the Netherlands.\nTraditional kava\, music\, and rich cultural exchange.\nLanguage of Delivery: English\n\nFraming the Issue\nGeography separates the Pacific and Caribbean by thousands of kilometres. Climate change unites them in an existential struggle. Both regions are composed primarily of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) that contribute less than 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions\, yet face disproportionate and accelerating climate impacts. Rising seas threaten to erase entire island nations. Intensifying cyclones devastate communities that lack resources to rebuild. Coral reefs\, which have forever been the foundation of island food security and economies\, bleach and die. Freshwater scarcity deepens. Saltwater intrudes on agricultural land. Entire populations face displacement. The Oceania Caribbean Climate Alliance addresses this issue through grassroots community mobilisation and interregional collaboration between the young people of Oceania and the Caribbean. \nAbout the Organisation\nThe Global Shapers Community\, an initiative of the World Economic Forum consisting of over 10\,000 volunteers in more than 500 city hubs\, proves that youth leadership is not symbolic but strategic. In 2024-2025 alone\, Global Shapers delivered more than 800 projects reaching 2.2 million people\, from advancing climate resilience to building trust in AI and tackling health inequities. The Oceania Caribbean Climate Alliance emerged as a collaboration between the Global Shapers Hubs of Brisbane (Australia) and Castries (St Lucia)\, bringing together young changemakers on the frontlines of the climate crisis across two island regions.

SUMMARY:UNPO’s Symbolic Return to The Hague\, Thirty-Five Years on: Register Now for the 2026 Conference on Self-Determination
DESCRIPTION:As UNPO marks its 35th anniversary\, the organisation is returning to The Hague\, where it was founded at the Peace Palace in 1991\, to host the second edition of its international conference on “Re-imagining Self-Determination” from 27-28 August 2026. \nBuilding directly on UNPO’s 2025 gathering in Madeira and its outcome report\, Reimagining Self-Determination for a Changing World\, this year’s gathering explores the question of what genuine representation and inclusion of unrepresented nations and peoples requires\, and what it demands of movements\, institutions\, and international frameworks when existing systems continue to fail. \nThe conference is structured around three interconnected themes: representation\, narratives and solidarity. It examines how power and influence operate not only through formal institutions but also through media\, digital platforms and the broader realm of political discourse\, and how communities can assert agency over their own narratives\, counter disinformation\, and reshape the terms of recognition in ways that advance their right to self-determination. \nConfirmed speakers include Professor Nicolas Levrat\, UN Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues\, and Professor Surya Deva\, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development\, alongside community representatives\, legal practitioners\, journalists\, and experts in storytelling\, documentation\, and archiving from across the world. \nParticipants will include UNPO member delegations\, UN Special Rapporteurs\, civil society actors\, legal practitioners\, journalists\, academics\, policymakers\, and grassroots movements from across the world. A welcome reception will take place on the evening of 26 August. \n	Register now\n	\n	Preliminary programme

SUMMARY:ISS Leadership Programme
DESCRIPTION:Lead with impact in a changing global landscape\nGlobal challenges are becoming more complex\, while funding and support for international cooperation are increasingly under pressure. This raises urgent questions for organizations working in development: how do you prepare for an uncertain future\, and how can you effectively integrate the latest social science insights into your policies and programmes? \nThis executive leadership programme is designed to help you navigate that complexity and strengthen your organisation’s impact in a rapidly changing world. \nAbout the programme\nThe programme starts on Tuesday\, 1 September 2026 at 15:00 and runs until the final session on 15 December 2026. It consists of eight sessions delivered in a hybrid format\, allowing participants to combine in-person and online learning. \nThe ISS Leadership Programme includes four face-to-face workshops in The Hague\, each lasting 2.5 hours\, alongside four online sessions of 1.5 hours. While in-person participation is encouraged\, all sessions can also be attended digitally\, making full remote participation possible. \nWith a group size of 15 to 20 participants\, the programme offers an interactive and focused learning environment for senior professionals from across the international development sector. \nDeveloped as part of the ISS Leadership Programme and in close collaboration with the Hague Humanitarian Studies Centre\, the course connects key themes such as resilience\, risk\, vulnerability\, and sustainable development. Participants are encouraged to translate insights directly into action within their own organisations. \nWho should attend\nThis course is aimed at experienced professionals with at least ten years of experience in international development. It is particularly relevant for managers\, leaders\, strategists\, monitoring and evaluation specialists\, and business developers. \nParticipants typically come from donor agencies\, international NGOs\, think tanks\, philanthropic foundations\, development consultancies\, and international development banks. The programme is also well suited for directors\, board members\, and management teams looking to strengthen their strategic leadership. \nWhat you will gain\nThroughout the programme\, you will develop the knowledge\, skills\, and mindset needed to increase your organization’s impact. You will learn how to move beyond linear approaches and adopt more adaptive forms of programming\, drawing on complexity thinking to better address real-world challenges. You will gain insights into how development efforts can be strengthened by anticipating future risks and enhancing societal resilience\, while also learning from best practices across organizations. \nIn addition\, the programme focuses on practical skill-building. You will learn how to identify blind spots within your organization\, engage constructively with donors and investors\, and create safe and inclusive work environments where innovation is encouraged. \nOn a personal level\, the programme supports your development as a leader. It helps you build the confidence and creativity needed to challenge existing structures and to foster a more open and learning-oriented organizational culture. \nLearning experience\nThe learning experience is highly interactive and designed to encourage exchange between participants. You will work in a small group setting that offers space for reflection\, discussion\, and peer learning. Participants are invited to bring a colleague to one of the sessions\, and those joining from abroad can take part in an additional online intervision session at no extra cost. \nBeyond the sessions themselves\, you will become part of a dynamic network of peers and gain access to the ISS alumni community. \nPractical details\nEach session requires approximately two hours of preparation. All teaching materials are included in the programme\, and upon completion you will receive a certificate from the International Institute of Social Studies. The course fee is €2\,450. \nCourse materials\nAs part of the programme\, you will receive the book Foreign Aid and its Unintended Consequences by Professor Dirk-Jan Koch\, published by Routledge in 2024. This book is included in the course fee and will be sent to you by post upon acceptance. \nIn addition\, you will have access to a series of knowledge video clips that you can watch at your own pace in preparation for the sessions. \n	Apply now!
