DESCRIPTION:Join us on 18 April 2026 for Impacthon: The Challenge for Real-World Impact \n📅 18 April 2026\, 10:00–22:00\n📍 PLNT Leiden \nImpacthon is a 12-hour student hackathon where interdisciplinary teams come together to tackle real-world challenges. Organised by PLNT Leiden and PLNT Students\, the event offers a hands-on experience focused on collaboration\, creativity\, and developing solutions with tangible impact. \nThis year’s central theme\, “Nourishing Neighbourhoods\,” invites participants to explore how communities can become safer\, more connected\, and more sustainable. Within this theme\, teams define their own challenge and work within one of three focus areas: \n\nSafe Neighbourhood\nConnected Neighbourhood\nGreen Neighbourhood\n\nThroughout the day\, participants will move from problem identification to solution development\, working collaboratively to research\, ideate\, and prototype innovative concepts. The event culminates in a final pitching session\, where teams present their solutions to peers and partners. \nThe Impacthon has two main objectives: \n\nTo stimulate innovative thinking and problem-solving by empowering students to address real-life challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration;\nTo create meaningful connections between participants\, fostering teamwork\, exchange of perspectives\, and shared learning.\n\nJoin us if you are: \n\nA student eager to work on real-world challenges;\nInterested in innovation\, sustainability\, or community impact;\nMotivated to collaborate with people from different disciplines and backgrounds.\n\nThe day includes plenary sessions\, breakout workshops\, and dedicated time for team collaboration\, as well as opportunities to connect informally during shared meals and networking moments. \nThe winning team will receive a €2000 prize to invest in a workshop or course of their choice—supporting personal growth and future ambitions. \nHow will you make an impact? \n	Register here!
