THUAS is looking for a Law & Tech Consultant to help in adapting its strategic directions about the use of AI and its implications for education, in particular concerning the skills and knowledge required of future HBO legal professionals.

Project Background
The International and European Law Program (‘LAW Programme’) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (‘THUAS’) is working on adapting its strategic directions about the use of AI and its implications for education, in particular concerning the skills and knowledge required of future HBO legal professionals.

In the context of this strategic development, the LAW Program is undertaking a project consisting of two phases:

  1. a mapping, scoping, and forecasting analysis of current and emerging trends in the fields of Legal Tech (the use of technology in legal practice) and Law & Tech (regulation of digital technologies); and
  2. the development of a new educational design in these fields informed by the insights and findings generated through the mapping, scoping, and forecasting phase.

Scope of the Work Assignment
The Law Program is seeking a consultant for the first phase of the project to conduct a forward-looking analysis of how digitalization and the use of AI are transforming the legal profession. Based on this analysis, the consultant will formulate strategic directions and recommendations for the LAW Program’s education, applied research, and professional network activities in the fields of Legal Tech and Law & Tech.
