ACAPS is looking for a Data Science Consultant.

Area of expertise
Data Science/Quantitative/mixed methods analysis: technical competencies applied to data collection and analysis of humanitarian data. You must demonstrate mastery in several quantitative analysis approaches relevant to humanitarian contextual analysis, including geospatial analysis, statistical modelling/machine learning, and data visualisation. You should be able to apply these skills dynamically to crisis contexts, generating actionable insights that inform humanitarian programming and policy decisions.

Type of work 
The type of work that ACAPS requests through the roster includes, but is not limited to:

  • One-off Support
    • Assistance provided for a specific, one-off task or deliverable, usually lasting a few hours to a few days. Examples include: reviewing a document, conducting a single training session, or providing expert input on a report.
  • Short-Term Support
    • Engagement for a limited period, typically from a few weeks up to 3 months, focused on achieving specific objectives or outputs. Examples include: support project proposal design, providing expert input on a series of outputs within a limited timeframe or implementing a short-term capacity-building initiative.
