SUMMARY:Extraction and Empires: A history that hasn't ended
DESCRIPTION:This event is part 1 of a 3-part Studium Generale program series organised between Leiden University and the Humanity Hub. On three Wednesday evenings we bring together academics and practitioners\, and delve into the world of critical raw materials. \nHow did resource extraction build empires\, and how much has really changed since? \nIn this opening session of our three-part series on critical raw materials\, Prof. dr. Catía Antunes (Leiden University) traces the long history of how empires sustained themselves through the extraction of resources\, drawing on striking examples across the centuries. She  connects that past to the present\, showing how little the underlying logic of extraction has shifted\, and how similar patterns are still visible now that the world races for the critical minerals that power the energy transition. \nFollowing the keynote\, Antunes is joined by Marius Troost (Both ENDS) for a panel discussion on the injustices bound up in the extraction of critical raw materials today: who bears responsibility for them\, and how NGOs and other actors can best aim their efforts to have the greatest impact. The panel will be moderated by Brian Jacobs. \nAfterwards there is time for drinks and a networking reception. \n🗓 Wednesday 28 October\n🕠17:30 – 19:00\n📍The Humanity Hub\, Fluwelen Burgwal 58\, Den Haag \nAttendence is free\, please sign-up in advance. \n	Register This link opens in a new tab

SUMMARY:#DemocracyDrinks: Political Developments in the Western Balkans
DESCRIPTION:Serbia’s elections and mass protests in Albania are raising new questions about the political direction of the Western Balkans. In Serbia\, elections could reshape the country’s political landscape\, while in Albania\, growing public mobilization is putting pressure on the government and raising questions about its political future. \nThis edition of #DemocracyDrinks looks at whether these developments could lead to a broader political shake-up in the region\, and what they could mean for democracy\, political stability\, and the EU integration of both countries. \nTogether with PRO International\, NSDE\, NHC\, PAX and the Albanians in the NL Foundation\, we will discuss these developments and what they tell us about the future of the Western Balkans. Speakers will be announced soon. Bring your questions! \nWhat are the #DemocracyDrinks? \n#DemocracyDrinks is an informal\, recurring conversation and networking series bringing together people working on democracy\, peace\, justice\, and democratic participation. \nThe format is intentionally simple: open\, dialogue-led conversations in a relaxed setting. #DemocracyDrinks The Hague provides space to connect across sectors\, test ideas\, explore emerging questions\, and reflect collectively on democratic challenges beyond formal panels or presentations. \nLaunched by Defend Democracy in Brussels in 2018\, #DemocracyDrinks now takes place in cities around the world. Editions in The Hague have brought together a diverse mix of practitioners from NGOs\, international institutions\, think tanks\, government\, and civil society. The Hague series is co-organised by the Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC)\, the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD)\, and The Hague Humanity Hub (THHH). \nInterested in hosting your own edition? Apply here. \nPhotos – disclaimer. \nPlease note that a photographer and/or videographer may be present during #DemocracyDrinks. Images may be used by partner organisations for communication and promotional purposes\, including social media and future event promotion. By attending\, you consent to this use. SUMMARY:Community Drinks: Voices & Visibility: Who gets heard in a crowded world?
DESCRIPTION:Connect\, share & learn about what different organisations are doing to make the world more peaceful and sustainable at the Community Drinks \nWhat if your next game-changing connection is just a drink away?\nJoin us for Community Drinks to wind down around a glass\, make new connections\, and get inspired by the spotlights of the evening. Hosted at The Hague Humanity Hub\, this is the place for you to get away from your busy schedule and enjoy after-hours with purposeful conversations. \nWhat can you expect?\nJoin the Community Drinks on Voices & Visibility: Who gets heard is a crowded world? from 17:30 to 19:00 for an evening of conversation\, reflection\, and connection around a question that sits at the heart of much of the peace and justice work happening in The Hague: who gets heard? \nIn a world with more voices\, stories\, crises\, and competing priorities than ever before\, being heard is not simply about having something to say. It is also about having access to the spaces\, platforms\, resources\, and decision-making processes that determine what receives attention. Thus\, questions like: Who gets invited into the room? Whose knowledge is considered credible? Who gets to tell the story? And why do some crises receive more attention\, resources\, and political response than others? Are deeply connected. \nWe will explore questions such as: \nWhat does it mean to have a voice and once someone has a voice\, who gets to tell their story and who controls the narrative?\nWhy do some crises receive significant media\, political\, and humanitarian attention while others remain largely invisible?\nAnd finally\, how can organisations ensure that local knowledge and lived experience genuinely shape decisions?\nThrough short speaker spotlights and an open discussion\, the evening will create space to exchange experiences\, challenge assumptions\, and consider how we can create more meaningful spaces for voices that are too often overlooked. \nWho are the speakers?\nThis edition of Community Drinks\, “Voices and Visibility: Who gets heard in a crowded world?” brings together different perspectives from across The Hague’s peace and justice ecosystem to explore three interconnected questions: \nThe speakers for this edition will be announced shortly before the event. We are bringing together complementary perspectives from across the peace and justice ecosystem\, exploring the relationship between voice\, power\, storytelling\, representation\, and visibility. \nRather than approaching the topic from a single discipline\, the conversation will connect experiences from different parts of the ecosystem and invite participants to reflect on how the decisions we make about who we listen to\, whose stories we share\, and what we choose to highlight are shaped and can shape what the international community ultimately understands and acts upon. \nWho is it for?\nIf you are interested in connecting with people and their work towards a more peaceful\, just and sustainable world\, this event is for you. Whatever your role or sector\, join Community Drinks to relax\, exchange perspectives\, and connect with this vibrant community committed to making the world more peaceful\, just and sustainable\, one conversation at a time. \nCome ready to share your perspective\, meet others working across the ecosystem\, and explore what it really takes to be heard—and listen to. \nPrivacy Policy\nThe Humanity Hub collects your name\, email\, and organization (if you have one) when you sign up for events\, so they can manage the event and tell you about future ones. SUMMARY:Just Peace Movie Night: The Sharp Edge of Peace
DESCRIPTION:This special screening of The Sharp Edge of Peace\, directed by Roya Sadat\, is organised as part of the Gender Justice in International Law Conference\, taking place in The Hague on 6–7 October 2026. The event is organised by The Hague Humanity Hub and Art Works Projects\, with the support the Gender Justice in International Law Conference. \nThe screening will include a viewing of the exhibition ‘Women Between Peace and War: Afghanistan’and will be followed by a conversation bringing together Afghan\, legal\, humanitarian and advocacy perspectives to reflect on the situation of women in Afghanistan today and explore the role of international law\, diplomacy\, civil society and storytelling in keeping their rights and voices on the international agenda. \nAbout the event\nIn 2021\, four Afghan women — Fatima Gailani\, Fawzia Koofi\, Habiba Sarabi and Sharifa Zurmati — sat across the negotiating table from the Taliban as members of the Afghan government negotiating team. They entered the talks as political actors and representatives of their country\, seeking a path towards peace while defending rights that Afghan women had fought for over decades. \nThe Sharp Edge of Peace\, directed by groundbreaking Afghan filmmaker Roya Sadat\, takes audiences behind the scenes of these negotiations and follows the women as they navigate political pressure\, personal risk and profound uncertainty about Afghanistan’s future. Five years after the Taliban returned to power\, the film provides a starting point for a wider conversation: where do the struggle for Afghan women’s rights and international efforts towards justice and accountability stand today — and what role can the international community still play? \nFollowing the screening\, we will bring together perspectives from international law\, humanitarian and development organisations\, Afghan women’s rights and peacebuilding\, and documentary storytelling. The conversation will explore the legal and diplomatic avenues being pursued to address violations of women’s rights; current debates around the concept of gender apartheid; the challenges of supporting Afghan women without reinforcing or legitimising Taliban rule; and the initiatives that continue to protect women’s education\, leadership and civic participation. \nWe will also ask a broader question particularly relevant to The Hague: how can international institutions\, governments\, civil society\, practitioners and citizens contribute to sustaining attention\, accountability and meaningful support when a crisis risks disappearing from international focus? \nThe panel speakers will be announced soon. \nAbout the film\nThe Sharp Edge of PeaceDirected by Roya SadatProduced by MIRA Studios and Roya Film HouseDocumentary | 2024 | 60 minutes \nProgramme \n18:00 Doors open\, drinks and snacks & exhibition viewing \n18:30 Welcome and introduction \n18:40 Screening of The Sharp Edge of Peace \n19:40 Panel conversation and audience Q&A \n20:30 Networking drinks \n21:30 End of event \nPart of the Gender Justice in International Law Conference\nThis special Just Peace Movie Night forms part of the wider programme around the Gender Justice in International Law Conference\, taking place in The Hague on 6–7 October 2026. \nThe conference brings together practitioners\, scholars\, activists\, survivors and policymakers working on gender justice\, international law and accountability. By opening the conversation to a wider public audience\, this Movie Night creates a bridge between specialist discussions taking place during the conference and the people\, experiences and realities at the heart of them. \nWho is this event for?\nThe event is open to everyone. We particularly welcome conference participants\, legal professionals\, civil society organisations\, humanitarian and development practitioners\, peacebuilders\, researchers\, students and anyone interested in Afghanistan\, women’s rights\, gender justice\, peacebuilding and international accountability. \nAdmission is free\, but registration is required. \nOrganised by Art Works Projects and The Hague Humanity Hub\, with the support of Cordaid\, the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice and the German Embassy to the Netherlands. \nAbout Just Peace Movie Nights\nJust Peace Movie Nights is a public engagement initiative of The Hague Humanity Hub using film as a starting point for dialogue on pressing peace and justice issues. We offer an open and inclusive platform for changemakers to connect both locally and internationally\, building bridges across themes\, sectors\, and disciplines. \nArt Works Projects (AWP)\, a Chicago and The Hague-based nonprofit\, confronts human rights abuses\, challenges injustice\, and mobilizes audiences beyond awareness to action through visual storytelling\, new media\, and public engagement.\nBy attending this event\, you acknowledge that photographs and/or video may be taken for documentation and promotional purposes by The Hague Humanity Hub. SUMMARY:Fireside Peace Chats: Peaceful Nation\, Violent Homes? with Elizabeth Molloy
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: You can join the event online\, at this link. \nJoin us for a dialogue on Household Conflict\, Polygamy\, and the Limits of Malawi’s Peaceful Reputation. \nPeace and conflict studies has traditionally organised itself around conflict between states\, ethnic groups\, or religions\, with the household treated as a separate\, private sphere outside its scope (Cockburn\, 2004). Malawi is often cited internationally as a model of peaceful democratic transition\, particularly after its 2019 election was annulled for fraud and a peaceful rerun brought the opposition to power in 2020\, an episode praised by donors and observers as a rare African success story. But can a reputation of peace abroad diametrically obscure or enable violence behind closed doors? \nIn this edition of Fireside Peace Chats\, our guest\, Elizabeth Molloy\, argues that such a national reputation for peace can mask high rates of violence within the household\, shaped by cultural norms\, economic systems\, family structures\, religion\, and marriage practices including polygamy. We will examine how cultural and structural factors combine to produce intra-household conflict that a country’s peaceful international image can obscure. \nAbout the Speaker: \nElizabeth Molloy is a gender and development specialist with 20 years of professional experience\, 14 of them in the gender sector. She has been director of C12 Consultants\, a research\, evaluation\, and social and environmental consulting firm\, for over a decade\, and has led gender-based violence research\, formative studies on masculinities\, and gender analyses of cash transfer and livelihoods programmes across Malawi and sub-Saharan Africa. She brings a gender lens to strategic evaluations for global climate-focused organisations\, and has designed gender and social inclusion strategies for major donor-funded programmes. Her research has also fed directly into practice through social safeguards work on renewable energy\, infrastructure\, and extractives projects across Malawi. She holds an MA in Education\, Gender and International Development from UCL. \nWhat are the Fireside Peace Chats?\nThe Fireside Peace Chats aim to create a space where practice\, research\, and policy in the field of peacebuilding come together in an informal way through the experiences of people on the ground. By sharing personal stories from peacebuilders and other figures with extensive experience in conflict areas\, we want to contribute to a locally informed paradigm shift in liberal peacebuilding. \nThe Fireside Peace Chats originally emerged as a joint initiative of Leiden University College (LUC) This link opens in a new tab\, the Knowledge Platform Security and Rule of Law (KPSRL) This link opens in a new tab\, and The Hague Humanity Hub (THHH) This link opens in a new tab. SUMMARY:The Governance Dilemma: Why Good Intentions Don't Lead to Decisions
DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder why organizations struggle to act even when they know exactly what’s right? Let’s figure it out together.\n \nThe Governance Dilemma: Why Good Intentions Don’t Lead to Decisions\nEvery organisation has experienced it. The meetings happen. The reports are written. The intentions are genuine. And still\, the decision does not land. \nThe Governance Dilemma is not a crisis. It is a quiet\, persistent pattern that appears across sectors: municipalities navigating policy reform\, NGOs coordinating multi-partner programmes\, international organisations managing complex stakeholder interests\, and organisations of all kinds trying to move from agreement to action. \nCapable people. Good intentions. Endless discussion. \nAnd still\, progress stalls. \nThis practitioner panel brings together senior professionals from governance\, justice innovation\, legal\, and organisational development backgrounds to explore a deceptively simple question: \nWhy do organisations that know what needs to happen still struggle to make it happen? \nRather than offering abstract theories\, each panelist will share their lived experience of navigating these challenges: what the governance dilemma looks like in practice\, why it emerges\, and what approaches have helped move conversations toward meaningful decisions. \nThis is not a lecture and there are no prepared speeches. The discussion is designed to surface honest practitioner perspectives and explore where different viewpoints converge\, and where they diverge. Often\, the most valuable insights emerge from the tension between experiences. \nWhat to Expect \nJoin an intimate evening conversation with fellow practitioners who have encountered the same frustrations and challenges in their work. \nThe session will include: \n\nA facilitated panel discussion with experienced practitioners\nHonest reflections from different sectors and professional contexts\nAn interactive audience discussion where participants can bring their own governance challenges into the room\nInformal networking drinks following the session\n\nWhy Join? \nBecause the governance dilemma is rarely discussed openly. \nMany professionals experience stalled decision-making as a personal leadership challenge or organisational weakness\, without realising it is often a shared structural pattern that cuts across sectors. \nThis session creates space to name the challenge\, explore it from multiple perspectives\, and engage in a candid conversation about what actually helps organisations move forward. \nWho Is It For? \nThis conversation is designed for senior professionals and experienced practitioners from: \n\nPublic sector institutions\nInternational organisations\nNGOs and civil society organisations\nDiplomatic missions\nOrganisational development and leadership roles\nGovernance and justice sector professionals\n\nThe discussion assumes some familiarity with governance and organisational decision-making. It is intended for people who have experienced these challenges firsthand and are interested in exploring them with peers. \nMeet the Speakers: \n\nHera Butt\, City Councillor\, The Hague;\nRodrigo Núñez\, Senior Justice Sector Advisor\, HiiL:\nClaudia Hopman\, Leadership and Organisational Development Advisor\nFacilitator: Ambreen Fatima\, Founder\, Legitmov\n\nThe Hague Humanity Hub is a platform in bringing together important conversations to the forefront. The content and session design of this upcoming conversation are fully owned by the Legitmov. \nPrivacy Policy \nThe Humanity Hub collects your name\, email\, and organization (if you have one) when you sign up for events\, so they can manage the event and tell you about future ones. Across sectors such as human rights\, peacebuilding\, migration\, social innovation\, accessibility\, arts and culture\, and civil society\, conversations around inclusion and representation are increasingly relevant to how communities function and grow. \nThis edition of Community Drinks creates an informal and welcoming space where different perspectives\, lived experiences\, and ideas can come together openly. Rather than approaching inclusion as a purely institutional concept\, the evening focuses on the everyday practices\, conversations\, and connections that help people feel seen\, heard\, and able to participate meaningfully in shared spaces. \nThrough short spotlights and open discussion\, we will explore questions such as: \n\nHow can diverse perspectives strengthen collaboration\, creativity\, and social impact?\nWhat role do accessibility\, representation\, and belonging play in shaping stronger international communities?\nHow can informal spaces and networks create opportunities for connection\, participation\, and change?\nThe programme aims to foster thoughtful exchange across disciplines\, sectors\, and experiences — while creating space for new connections\, reflection\, and collaboration in a relaxed community setting.\n\nWho are the speakers? \n\nStichting Queer Mind is a dedicated organization working to combat homelessness and insecurity among LHBTIQ+ youth in the Netherlands. With a mission to foster self-reliance and inclusion\, the foundation envisions a society where everyone\, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity\, can live safely and participate fully.\nGender Concerns International has the mission to promote gender equality at a policy-making level. That includes collaborating with national authorities and institutions\, as well as bridging the interaction gap between local women organisations and the national policymakers.\nJustice & Peace Netherlands is a human rights organization dedicated to defending and promoting respect for human rights and social justice globally and within the Netherlands. Their work is focused on building and strengthening local communities so that they can take action to create just\, sustainable\, and welcoming societies.\n\nWho is it for? \nIf you are interested in connecting with people and their work towards a more peaceful\, just and sustainable world\, this event is for you. Whatever your role or sector\, join Community Drinks to relax\, exchange perspectives\, and connect with this vibrant community committed to making the world more peaceful\, just and sustainable\, one conversation at a time. \n	Register now!

SUMMARY:Follow-Up Meet-Up: Collective Action For Sudan
DESCRIPTION:Let’s come together to discuss and implement collective action pathways that can make a real difference for Sudan’s future.\nFollowing our April gathering at The Hague Humanity Hub\, we would like to invite you to a second meet-up to continue the conversation on collective action for Sudan.\nThe previous session brought together participants from humanitarian\, policy\, research\, cultural\, and diaspora spaces to reflect on current gaps in international engagement and identify practical areas for collaboration. \nA number of shared priorities emerged\, particularly around youth support\, local capacity building\, civilian protection\, and the need for more coordinated engagement between actors in the Netherlands and grassroots initiatives in Sudan. \nThis follow-up session on 9 June will focus on moving from reflection toward implementation. \nIn particular\, we aim to: \n\nfurther develop 1–2 concrete collective action pathways identified during the previous meeting\,\nexplore realistic pilot initiatives that can be supported from the Netherlands\,\nstrengthen connections between ongoing initiatives\,\nand discuss how spaces such as Sudan Futures Platform\, The Hague Humanity Hub\, and others can continue supporting constructive collaboration around Sudan.\n\nAt the same time\, we remain open to additional ideas\, priorities\, and emerging areas for collaboration that participants may wish to bring into the conversation. \nThis space is intended to complement — not duplicate — the important humanitarian and emergency response efforts already taking place. The discussion will focus particularly on medium-term actions and forms of collaboration that can strengthen longer-term resilience\, civilian support\, capacity building\, and future preparedness around Sudan. \nThe conversation will remain informal\, participatory\, and non-partisan\, while maintaining a practical focus on what can realistically be advanced together. \nAbout the Organizers\nThis meet‑up is organized by The Hague Humanity Hub in partnership with the Sudan Futures Platform as part of our ongoing commitment to support key ecosystem actors and bring crucial conversations to the forefront. \n	Register This link opens in a new tab

SUMMARY:Fireside Peace Chats: Youth Protests in Kenya with Wangechi Grace Kahuria
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informal conversation with Wangechi Grace Kahuria on defending the human rights of youth movements in Kenya.\nIn this edition of the Fireside Peace Chats (FPC) series\, we welcome Wangechi Grace Kahuria\, a Kenyan civil rights activist and the Executive Director of IMLU\, a Health\, Governance and Human Rights Organisation involved in forensic documentation\, litigation\, medical and psychosocial rehabilitation of survivors of torture\, and monitoring the government’s adherence to its human rights commitments. Wangechi is currently participating in the Shelter City initiative\, a global movement for the protection of human rights defenders initiated by Justice & Peace. \nIn 2024\, young people were at the forefront of a wave of massive demonstrations against rising tax bills in Kenya. Kenyan authorities reacted with a brutal clampdown and have since continued to intimidate\, harass\, abduct and torture peaceful protestors\, members of human rights organisations and other government critics. Drawing from her work at IMLU and her attendance at several UN sessions in Geneva\, Wangechi will reflect on her experience with supporting youth activists in Kenya\, the challenges she faces in her field\, and pathways to justice for victims of severe human rights abuses. \nCome ready to listen\, reflect\, and exchange insights on accountability\, justice\, and the protection of youth political participation in the face of democratic decline. \nWhat are the Fireside Peace Chats? \nThe Fireside Peace Chats aim to create a space where practice\, research\, and policy in the field of peacebuilding come together in an informal way through the experiences of people on the ground. By sharing personal stories from peacebuilders and other figures with extensive experience in conflict areas\, we want to contribute to a locally informed paradigm shift in liberal peacebuilding. \nThe Fireside Peace Chats originally emerged as a joint initiative of Leiden University College (LUC)\, the Knowledge Platform Security and Rule of Law (KPSRL)\, and The Hague Humanity Hub (THHH). \n	Register now!

SUMMARY:Funding Democratic Futures
DESCRIPTION:In a time of rising extremism and polarization across the world\, democratic principles and the rule of law is increasingly under pressure\, not only elsewhere\, but also in The Netherlands and in Europe. \nOn Wednesday\, June 3rd\, The HER Collective and The Hague Humanity Hub are pleased to invite donors\, investors\, and the wider democracy ecosystem along with HER members\, to jointly explore possible pathways to safeguard a democratic future. \nAs noted in the charter of HER Democracy\, “Freedom\, Rule of Law and Equal Rights under the Law are the three key components of democracy that require safeguarding and action.” \nGlobal funding sources are increasing to safeguard and strengthen democratic rights. SUMMARY:#DemocracyDrinks: Far-Right Networks: Diffusion and Democratic Impact
DESCRIPTION:A closer look at far-right networks\, focusing on the case study of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in India.\nHow do far-right networks embed themselves in cultural\, educational\, and political institutions? How do they translate grassroots presence into electoral power and ideological influence? And what explains their resilience across very different political contexts? \nThis event will examine the organizational strategies that enable far-right movements to build legitimacy\, extend their reach across society\, and sustain long-term mobilization. \nTo explore these questions\, the event will showcase the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in India as a central case study. As one of the world’s largest and most enduring far-right organizations\, the RSS offers a particularly revealing lens onto the mechanics of far-right mobilization: \n\nIts century-long historical development\nIts layered ecosystem of affiliated organizations\nIts decisive influence on contemporary Indian politics.\n\nYet the RSS is not an outlier. Its strategies resonate with\, and in some cases prefigure\, patterns visible in far-right movements across Europe\, the Americas\, and beyond\, from the cultivation of civil society fronts to the fusion of nationalism\, majoritarian identity\, and disinformation. \nMeet the speaker! \nSruti Bala is an Associate Professor in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests revolve around the intersections of culture\, performance\, and politics. Dr.Bala published studies on a wide range of topics including nonviolent protest\, artistic activism\, feminist and postcolonial/decolonial theories. She is a member of the collective International Solidarity for Academic Freedom in India (InSAF India)\, which advocates for collective academic freedoms and building global solidarities with Indian and international peoples’ movements for radical social\, economic and ecological justice. \nTogether we will reflect on what these networks mean for democracy\, pluralism\, and civil society today\, and how their growing visibility is reshaping political landscapes worldwide. \n	Register now

SUMMARY:Just Peace Movie Night x KUNO: Lost Land
DESCRIPTION:Just Peace Movie Night x KUNO: Lost Land \nJoin us for a powerful evening organised by KUNO and The Hague Humanity Hub\, part of the Just Peace Movie Nights series. \nOn 26 May\, we will screen Lost Land (Harà Watan)\, a gripping fictional feature by Japanese director Akio Fujimoto. The film exposes the trauma of displacement and decades of persecution faced by the Rohingya people in Myanmar. Told through the eyes of children\, it sheds light on the lived experiences of refugees by blending harsh reality with elements of fantasy\, drawing attention to a humanitarian crisis that is too often overlooked. \nAbout the film – Lost Land \nIn the hope of reuniting with their scattered family\, four-year-old Shafi and his nine-year-old sister Somira leave a Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh and embark on a perilous journey to Malaysia. Along the way\, the children encounter natural forces\, exploitation through cross-border trafficking\, and constant challenges that test their resilience. \nLost Land is the first feature made entirely in the Rohingya language and is shot at the eye-level of its young protagonists. Featuring more than two hundred Rohingya participants\, the film offers a powerful and immersive portrayal of their collective experience. \nLost Land was nominated for the Grand Jury Fiction Award at the Movies that Matter Festival 2026. \nThe movie screening will be followed by a moderated panel discussion in collaboration with KUNO. We will announce the speakers soon! \nProgramme \n\n18:15 – 18:45 – Walk-in & drinks\n18:45 – 20:45 – Introduction and film screening: Lost Land\n20:45 – 21:30 – Moderated discussion and Q&A\n\nThis evening invites you to watch\, reflect\, and engage in dialogue on border violence\, human rights and belonging. \n\nTickets: €5\,50 – The ticket price includes a free drink.\nLocation: The Hague Humanity Hub\nDate & Time: 26 May 2026 | 18:15 – 21:30\n\nAbout Just Peace Movie Nights \nJust Peace Movie Nights is an event series organised by The Hague Humanity Hub in collaboration with partner organisations from The Hague’s peace and justice ecosystem.
