DESCRIPTION:​Agunamakuash When Crises Call for Redefining Courageous Leadership \n​In the world’s most dangerous and volatile places\, leadership is not taught in conference rooms. It is tested in war zones and overcrowded refugee camps\, in prisons overflowing with the forgotten\, and in moments when the “correct” decision or rule may still leave people suffering. \n​In Agunamakuash\, Piero Gandini recounts fourteen years of humanitarian leadership on the front lines of crisis across Angola\, Indonesia\, Chad\, Darfur\, Peru\, South Sudan\, Colombia\, and India. Working first with the Jesuit Refugee Service and later with Médecins Sans Frontières\, Piero entered some of the harshest environments on Earth driven by a singular purpose: to serve people affected by conflict\, injustice\, poverty\, and political failure. He sat on the ground with refugees\, learned local tribal dialects to gain trust\, shared meals\, and refused to accept that compassion should have limits. \n​The stories he tells are raw\, immediate\, and deeply human.
