SUMMARY:World Water Film Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:In September IHE Delft will host the first-ever World Water Film Festival organized by students from the IHE Delft MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development and with the support of The World Water Film Festival\, IHE Delft and other organizations. \nThe student organizers from the 2025-26 cohort took this initiative because: “Water is absent from conversations outside the sector\, and inside the sector\, discussions too often orbit around technocratic thinking.” They believe that films can change that. \nIn collaboration with the World Water Film Festival team in New York\, the students are using film as a pathway to raise awareness\, cultivate understanding\, and open new conversations about water that go beyond pipelines and policy. The programme contains four themes\, on four evenings and with four different conversations that matter.
