SUMMARY:Just Peace Movie Night x Fair Tourism: KIVA The Call of the Wisdom Keepers
DESCRIPTION:KIVA – The Call of the Wisdom Keepers highlights the transformative power of indigenous wisdom in repairing our relationship with the Earth.\nJP Movie Night x Fair Tourism: KIVA – The Call of the Wisdom Keepers \nJoin us for an inspiring evening organised by Fair Tourism and The Hague Humanity Hub\, as part of the Just Peace Movie Night series. \nOn July 1\, we will screen KIVA – The Call of the Wisdom Keepers: a powerful documentary by Dutch director Marijke Kodden. Through inspiring conversations with participants of an indigenous KIVA ceremony\, an ancient ritual already practiced by Native American (Ancestral Puebloan) peoples 3000 years ago\, the film explores the restorative potential of indigenous principles in mending humanity’s relation to the Earth. \nFrom reciprocity and responsibility to respect and regeneration\, the indigenous values highlighted throughout the film encourage both existential reflection and practical transformation\, bringing us all closer to environmental balance and stability. \nFollowing the screening\, we will reflect on the importance of indigenous wisdom in tackling today’s global challenges through a moderated panel discussion in collaboration with Fair Tourism. \nSpeakers \n\nMarijke Kodden – filmmaker and photographer\, director of KIVA\nCarola Esparza – Wisdom Keeper\, Mapuche-descent (Chile)\nCharlotte Louwman-Vogels – founder of Fair Tourism\nWe will announce the rest of the speakers and the moderator soon!\n\nProgramme \n18:00 | Walk in & drinks \n18:30 | Welcome & opening remarks \n18:35 | Documentary screening: KIVA – The Call of the Wisdom Keepers \n19:30 | Break \n19:45 | Panel discussion and Q&A \n20:30 | Networking drinks \n21:00 | End of event \nEvent details \nTickets: €5\,50 – The ticket price includes a free drink.\nLocation: The Hague Humanity Hub\, Fluwelen Burgwal 58\, 2511 CJ The Hague\nDate & Time: 1 July 2026 | 18:00 – 21:00 \nAbout Just Peace Movie Nights \nJust Peace Movie Nights is an event series organised by The Hague Humanity Hub in collaboration with partner organisations from The Hague’s peace and justice ecosystem.
