SUMMARY:Sneak Peek: From Principles to Practice – Building the Peace-Positive Investment Workshop Series
DESCRIPTION:PeaceFinance.org and The Hague Humanity Hub\, through the Hub’s Investing in Peace initiative\, invite you to a free Sneak Peek session introducing Peace Finance and a workshop series currently under development. \nThis 75-minute session explores Peace Finance as a practical approach to designing and financing initiatives that intentionally build peace — making trust\, inclusion\, and cooperation part of how organisations and investments behave\, rather than a by-product or safeguard. \nThe Sneak Peek also contributes to the broader Investing in Peace conversations at the Hub. It offers a shared framing and practical lens that can help inform ongoing dialogue within our community. \nThe session brings together actors from across finance\, peacebuilding\, innovation\, and enterprise. Participants will gain a clear introduction to Peace Finance\, exchange perspectives on current challenges\, and help shape what future workshops should focus on in terms of content\, cases\, and practical application. \n	Register now This link opens in a new tab

SUMMARY:The Hague Local Election Night
DESCRIPTION:  \nMaking local democracy accessible to all residents of The Hague. Learn who can vote\, what’s at stake\, and ask the parties directly.\nMany residents of The Hague are unsure whether they can vote in municipal elections\, what the city council is responsible for\, or how local politics affects everyday life. This Election Night is designed to make local democracy clearer\, more accessible\, and easier to engage with\, especially for people who may feel unsure about where to start. \nThe evening offers a clear and practical introduction to how local democracy works in The Hague\, with a focus on accessibility for internationals and residents who do not speak Dutch fluently. Held in English\, the event welcomes anyone who wants to better understand local decision making\, regardless of background or previous knowledge. You will learn who is eligible to vote\, how voting works in practice\, and what the municipality actually decides on\, from housing and mobility to public space and local services. \nAlmost all major political parties will take part in the event. They will present their core priorities and engage directly with the audience during a debated-style moderated live Q&A\, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and hear different perspectives in one place. The evening concludes with informal drinks\, creating space for personal conversations and further discussion. \nThis event is intended for anyone who wants to feel more informed\, confident\, and included in local democratic processes in The Hague\, whether you are voting for the first time or simply want a clearer understanding of how the city is run. \n	RSVP here
