SUMMARY:Webinar tools and localisation tactics for cross-cultural co-creation
DESCRIPTION:After the successful sessions on Community-Led Development and Human-Centered Design last year\, which we organised in collaboration with Butterfly Works\, The Hunger Project and The Movement for Community-Led Development\, the fourth session focuses on tools and localisation tactics for cross-cultural co-creation. This session\, on September 16th 2021 from 15.30-17.00\, will be hosted by Butterfly Works. \n\n\n\nThis session will explore a tension we often experience: how to ensure localisation and community-led programming while scaling your successful interventions. \n\n\n\nAfter having invested in an innovative approach\, a well-designed intervention or a fully developed digital product\, organisations look for scaling and expansion. They want to ensure the time and money invested can be translated into results. But a solution works differently in every context and often the solutions require some contextualisation. \n\n\n\nIn this session\, we want to discuss this localisation and contextualisation process by looking at different tools that enable organisations to share intentions and allow communities to share their needs.  Tactics to hear each other and to keep an open mind for new opportunities even when there is already a clear objective. \n\n\n\nSave the date\n\n\n\nPlease also save the date for the upcoming sessions later this year: \n\n\n\nSession #5: Shift the Power in strategic partnerships with MoFA – October 14th 2021Session #6: What obstacles are in our way and what can we jointly do to overcome them? – November 25th 2021\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER

SUMMARY:HagueTalks: How can we inspire communities to join in making change?
DESCRIPTION:This Hague Talks features several speakers who are working to make the world a more peaceful and just place. They will tell their stories of their dreams\, their obstacles and especially how they work to engage with their communities and inspire others to join them.  \n\n\n\nThis is the opening event for a five week long event during which organisations based in The Hague engage with Hague residents to show how they are working to make the world a more peaceful and just place. For many people ‘The Hague’ is just a concept\, a slogan\, even an ideal. But we all know that in fact it’s made up of a wide range of individuals – each with their own story – working to make the world a more just and peaceful place. Stories never go out of fashion. Where people came from\, what obstacles they’ve had in their way\, why it is that they have wanted to focus on peace or justice\, what are their dreams – all these make up the rich tapestry of tales that can form the inspiration for this year’s Just Peace month of activities. \n\n\n\nThe Hague is known as the city of peace and justice\, but how do local residents see these lofty concepts? How can we get our communities inspired to take action on big issues like climate change? What do you do when you want to make change in a conservative society; how do you get allies? \n\n\n\nThis Hague Talks features several speakers who are working to make the world a more peaceful and just place. They will tell their stories of their dreams\, their obstacles and especially how they work to engage with their communities and inspire others to join them. \n\n\n\nEvent is opened by Saskia Bruines\, vice mayor of the Hague. \n\n\n\nABOUT SPEAKERS \n\n\n\nDiane\, LGTBI+ Human Rights Defender from the Shelter City project from Justice and Peace.Sjaak Kroes\, The Hague City Poet.
