SUMMARY:2020 Data Fellows Programme Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis\, UNOCHA‘s Centre for Humanitarian Data conducted 2020 Data Fellows Programme This link opens in a new tab remotely this summer. On Thursday 30 July from 14:00 – 15:00 pm (Den Haag)\, they’re hosting the first-ever virtual Data Fellows Showcase. \nJoin to hear from the 2020 class of Data Fellows and learn about their projects on:\n• the mosaic effect\, or how combining seemingly innocuous datasets may reveal sensitive information about vulnerable individuals or groups;\n• using predictive analytics for anticipatory action\, or how humanitarian organizations are starting to use predictive models to trigger earlier interventions; and\n• data storytelling\, or how data can be used for more effective advocacy\, communication\, and resource mobilization in humanitarian emergencies. \nYou won’t want to miss it – register now This link opens in a new tab!
