SUMMARY:Masterclass - Basic principles of Fundraising with John Marks
DESCRIPTION:After the success of the Masterclass- Basic Principles of Social Entrepreneurship in July\, the Hague Humanity Hub and ImpactCity cordially invite you back for a workshop on the Basic Principles of Fundraising with John Marks. \nJohn Marks is a social entrepreneur who founded Search for Common Ground and headed it for 32 years. Together with Susan Collin Marks\, his wife and SFCG’s former Executive Vice President\, he developed it into the largest peacebuilding NGO in the world with 600 staff members and offices in 35 countries. The organization has been nominated for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. During his 32 years with Search\, John raised – or supervised the raising of – more than € 300 million. On October 24 at The Hague Humanity Hub\, John will lead an interactive workshop in which he describes the basic operating principles that he has found underlie successful fundraising. \nThe workshop will provide a practical framework for securing funds to support social enterprises\, starting from vision and moving into effective action. The ideas presented will draw from John’s extensive experience\, as well as from the wisdom of participants. The goal will be to lead participants through the possibilities that abound when they grasp their inner potential to make a difference and to carry out the work that the world so badly needs. \nThis workshop is designed for professionals\, social entrepreneurs\, startups\, as well as students active or interested in the field of peacebuilding. \nAt this workshop you will: \n\nUnderstand the basic operating principles of successful fundraising\nLearn about the financial challenges of building a global enterprise\nNetwork with a community of innovators in the fields of peace\, justice and humanitarian action\nGet inspired by one of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs\n\nThis event will be followed by networking drinks with the first drink on the house. \nTickets and registration available here:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/masterclass-basic-principles-of-fundraising-with-john-marks-tickets-51248123517 \nThis event is supported by ImpactCity

SUMMARY:Startup in Residence Ministry of Justice and Security
DESCRIPTION:Startup in Residence Ministry of Justice and Security\nThe Ministry of Justice and Security is launching an innovative program with the objective to cooperate with innovators: the Startup in Residence Program (SiR). \nThis program challenges startups to come up with solutions to four pre-selected social issues in the field of Justice and Security. We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative startups who are willing to join us on this journey. \nWhat does the SiR program exactly stand for? \nIt works as follows: Startups can apply when they have an idea that does not exist and can help solve one of the social issues. Take a look at the challenges here ! \nThree startups will be the opportunity to present their idea\, and they will\, in the professional jury. Finally\, the jury will select the winners (one per social issue). These startups will be admitted to participate in the SiR Program. They will\, furthermore\, be provided with development budget and will attend the training and guidance program. \nAfter five months of intensive cooperation between startup and ministry\, the program will end with the accomplishment of a working prototype. The startup will be invited to present its prototype to the commissioning parties and potential customers during Demo Day in June 2019. \nhttps://startupinresidence.com/ministry-of-security-and-justice/#
